Great result from an ok performance.

Finnan was deffo the M-O-M.  He really troubled spurs with his crossing.

Bring on the scums.....  :buttrock

I hope he does. (But I know he won't - the spineless fecker.)

He'll probably say "Ooh, but we were better and deserved to win cos Carrick and Jenas are World Class and Gerrard and Alonso are Conference standard."

The whiney little w*nker.

that was a VITAL 3 points today. a point behind united and the possibility of overtaking them next week. and still game(s) in hand.
ok the fixtures look tough coming up. but this was a chance today to close the gap before having to even worry about arsenal and chelsea yet.
well played kewell also, maybe this can be a catalyst in the season for him and the club...

second place is very much achievable. and that would represent fantastic progress.

mentions for finann sissoko and reina, who is fast turning into everything previously described of him. well done reds and anyone who picks fault today wants shooting! (riise tho)???

onwards and upwards  :bowdown

Great win for the reds, thought we looked good, morientes is starting to  me off. rafa insists on playing him and he never looks promising, cisse and pongolle are much better paired with crouch.

Rafa insists on playing Morientes because he knows more football than you do. Believe it or not there's a good reason for Kewell having that great volley, there's a good reason for the right back of Tottenham not to be there: Crouch and Morientes -- and a superb cross from finnan, needless to say.

Kewell played a great match, he's surprising me positively, but not because the great volley, because he works hard in defence, he was aware, great match. Few mistakes, and when those happened were in unimportant places of the pitch. Kewell? I've bashed him a bit, but it's about time to say he's getting better and better. *NOW* he deserves the place in the starting eleven, and rightly so.

My MOM: Finnan, Kewell.

Kewell's first goal in 13 months was well worth the wait as his second half screamer was good enough to win any match, as it gave Liverpool their eighth straight win at home to move them to within a point of second-placed Manchester United with two games in hand.

Steven Finnan's deep cross from the right floated over Crouch but Kewell arrived at the far post to meet the ball with a thunderous volley which flew past Robinson in the blink of an eye to put Liverpool ahead.

totally agree sabre, were winning games playing consistant football i personally don't agree with slagging players off because were not 4 nil up at half time ,the teams playing with a positive attitude why can't we be positive aswell.I'm all for constructive critisism ,but not this players :censored: or that players :censored: on the back of a good result.
