Or maybe Gerrard is doing what all footballers tend to do and trying to make out like all is ok behind the scenes etc.
Also he is hardly likely to come out and say to the press.
Its not the players fault the manager has left the squad bare in key areas and sticks with players that are out of form and formations that are not suited.

If he did that - which i think he probably believes, he would get slaughtered by everyone for not helping the club and making things worse.
So he makes the traditional we're to blame statement - that all struggling clubs players meter out and everyone believes that thats his actual opinion.

Gerrard - not wanting to upset people or wash the club's dirty linen in public - comes out in the press and says he and his fellow players have been sh*t this season.

But some of the responsibility must be the players. I believe that Rafa has worn the players down and stifled their creativity. They have let this affect their game which is why we see such lacklustre performances, especially from our better players.
Gerrard is right. They have to roll their sleeves up to pull us out the that they have helped to put us in.

At the end of the day we'll prob finnish 4th in the end and things shld be ok. Who gives a monkeys what Gerrard said and how he meant it. Who gives a toss about Lucas when obviously the whole team is underperforming and were blatently unlucky.
