I wonder if the anti Rafa brigade filled up all the threads with similar posts to the ones which have been posted recently how it would go down I don't wonder because I know. The daft part about it is, in their attemtps to take the p!ss people are simply guilty of self parody. They're quite right in many respects, how ridiculous is it for a Liverpool fan to harbour hopes of being higher than 7th, we should be worshipping Rafa for his genius .

Real fans like being 7th, because it's cool and they can prove to everyone how real they are by "walking though a storm".

Or on the other hand we can all listen to people that have done jack to do with football (I mean nothing at all) yet seem to regularly proclaim themselves as a footballing masiah because they rehash the that the pundits (that actually get paid) spout.

No one walks through a storm because they like it, they do it because there is no choice other than to jump ship, an option beneath them and yet you speak about it as if it is a critism. If Jose was manager you would still be whinning, complaining because that is who you are. Hiding behind sarcasm all the time just illistrates the point.

You said (threatened) you would ignore me and I had no objection so give it a try. I responded to a non football post in the same manner yet you have no problem with the original post because you agree with it. Practice what you preach and ignore me, I'll live don't worry.

Mick is a big boy and is quite happy to antagonize, and responds very quickly to my posts (in his usual eloquent way), so why the velvet glove treatment. He is hardly a victim. It's a good post, mate. Well said. I'll support the manager - if not neccassarily agree with him - so long as he is at this club. He's given us some of the best nights in our history in European football where we'd slipped to being a joke in it for a long time prior. For that, I'll always have respect for him, like I still have respect for Houllier, and if he should leave, then it'll be with saddness on my part, just as I was saddend when GH, and Evans before him departed. They are good servants to the crest, and it can be insulting to see them be treated with such disprespect. Have a varying opinion, but respect should be given as the man has earned it.

The league seems to be a poisoned chalice for us, and I think it's not completely fair to blame any manager for the club's failings in the past to keep up.

I do not feel the same as I did when GH was manager because I was sure he needed to go. I get none of those feelings about Rafa despite having a worse run than GH did. Rafa is the right man for the club, but we will have to hang in there for him. The club has never been this poor a shape from a boardroom level and that is the real issue. Another manager is not going to put his arm around our players and win us the league as some simplistically claim (even the special one), the problem is at boardroom level and until that changes it'll probably be more of the same.

We are a much stonger force since Rafa came, talking about being seventh is opportunism as we will be in much better shape at the end of the season.

I agree with you EM, I will continue to support Rafa while he is manager and will always respect him when he leaves.

However, if it was a choice between him staying and us plodding on the way we are and him leaving, I would say go.

I don't blame Rafa because of our past failings, I am blaming him for the here and now, the position we are in 5 years after he took control, its not as if he only took over in the summer and is on his honeymoon period.

I read "Rafa is sh1t" I say "no he is not, what do you know" and then get accused of stalking and not talking football. The stalking thing is there to discredit me but it does not make my posts any less valid. I do not swear or insult (generally) but respond to cr@p posts. This "discuss football" sh1t is cr@p because there is not much sensible football being discussed that I can read. I read plenty of posters that get on their high horse and think they are discussing football but it is the same sh1t but in a different box. I discuss football everyday Saint (and I get paid for it too   ), here I come for information about the team I support. The situation has been manipulated to make me appear as "stalker" because afterall, if you read it on the net it must be true.

I am quite confident in my intelligence (both football and all other) and my worth to the world we live in, after all I have all the facts. Happily I sleep well every night without feelings of guilt or remorse and wake up every morning feeling positive. As I read bullsh1t I will give my counter argument and as usual will be greeted with a sleepy smiley. Calling me a stalker will not change that.
