Nah mate , Purslow is the Managing Director. No doubt he will be filling both roles at the moment with Ayres .

rafas thinking woryy's me a bit also.

Aquilanin is starting v Fiorentina, even though he has not been risked due to long term lay off etc, and this is a pointless champions league match!!

rafa's thinking?

why risk him? what if he gets a knock and out for 3 months?

Nothing to play for Rafa, get real.

If their is nothing to play for then the game maybe not as competative as if their was something to play so maybe less chance of injury . Rafa cant win can he , he doesnt play him he gets slaughtered - he aims to play him and he gets slaughtered just because the fans say its the wrong game .

Yes he can. If he's just paid 20 million quid for a midfielder when we are supposedly strapped for cash, then fans expect to see the fella play. This is particularly the case if the central midfield is patently obviously the most disfunctional part of the team right now. If he is/was fit earlier, he should have played.

Pretty simple really.

As been stated many times Mick other people are better placed to judge when he is ready to play and when he should play . The fiorentina will be a less physical game same with the arsenal game so their is two perfect games for him to get some needed playing time . But then again impaitent fans know better the state of our players physical fitness and readyness for a game . The guy is with us for 4 years not 4 weeks .
