Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby damjan193 » Sat Nov 29, 2014 6:23 pm

Mignolet - 7 - a few good saves and came out on crosses as well, kept a clean sheet and basically saved the game from Bojan's shot, very similar to last season.
Johnson - 7 - thought he was being his usual self in the first half but he improved in the second and scored a goal as well. Kept a clean sheet too.
Skrtel - 7 - did well when called upon and kept a clean sheet
Toure - 7 - same as above
Enrique - 6
Lucas - 7 - quite a good game for him I thought, it was nice to have someone protect the back 4 for a change
Allen - 6
Henderson - 6
Coutinho - 6 - shouldn't blame his teammates for everything that goes wrong for him.
Sterling - 6
Lambert - 6

Subs:
Gerrard - 6
Lovren - N/A

MINGOLET - 8 fine performance topped off by a miraculous save from Bojan
JOHNSON - 7 started a bit shaky and almost got caught in possession at one point but rallied to score a courageous goal.
TOURE - 7 good performance from both CB's
SKRTEL - 6 ditto
ENRIQUE - 5 still a bit rusty but hasn't played much football in the last 12 months
LUCAS - 7 did well screening the defence and got forward too at times, pressed high when we were chasing the game
ALLEN - 6 worked hard to win the ball back particularly in the last 20 minutes, should have scored though
HENDERSON - 6 tried hard and showed lots of passion but his game is not quite there ATM
COUTINHO - 6 couple of decent runs and tried his hardest to conjure something up but came up against a brick wall most of the time
STERLING - 6 couldn't repeat his midweek heroics
LAMBERT - 6  2 goals in his previous 2 games and now a crucial role in our winner today, not his best performance but he is starting to have an influence on games.

Mingolet - 6 hadnt that much to do in fairness but would be at sea again if he had
johnson - 6 again undroppable but fair play for throwing his head in like that  :nod seen as he came out the worst of it i doubt he will be throwing it down there again.
skrtel - 6 best CH at the club
toure - 6 good game and organisation skills
enrique - 5 lack of game time showing along with inteligence
allen - 4 taking a point off him for that miss
henderson - 5 great engine but shoddy french electrics
coutinho - 6 strange one with phillipe, he is one of our better players capable of producing but is in real danger of going stale. needs to kick on with the weaker side to his game. namely power.
lucas - 6 much better option than gerrard in that role but he does the same things(ie: falling between the 2 ch's) and against a stronger side will be equally exposed due to his lack of pace.
sterling - 6 shows a bit of skill here and there but lost for the most of it
lambert - 5 it kills me thats what we have up front

gerrard - 5 exactly the type of role he should be playing and he might have scored had he of not being so tired after ludogorets  :;):

overall i thought we were poor enough. still struggled to create anything and the lack of a quality player capable of winning a game for us is there for all to see.
defensively we were better and the team worked harder for each other but still a long way to go.
positives were, 3 points and a clean sheet

MINGOLET - 7 Some good blocks with his feet and the save to deny Bojan a classic goal was world class
JOHNSON - 6 Defensively he still went missing after bringing the ball forward and failing to get back ,but the space he left was covered superbly by Lucas.
TOURE - 7 Looked solid throughout
SKRTEL - 6 Not as adept as Toure in his interceptions ,but still they looked a comfortable pairing
ENRIQUE - 5 Gave the ball away with silly passes ,but gradually got stronger along with his running.
LUCAS - 8 For the job he is tasked with he performed it to the letter ,best player on the pitch.
ALLEN - 7 workhorse ,but needs to show more composure when presented with a gilt edged opportunity to score ,other than that though he was everywhere.
HENDERSON -7 Slowly working his way back to form and unlucky not to finish a brilliant move with a goal ,and sweet cross for Lambert's header
COUTINHO - 6  If he could add goalscoring to his game he would be practically untouchable.
STERLING 6 see above
LAMBERT - 6 worked tirelessly ,but he should have been on the end of a few brilliant balls into the box

Mig - 3 very poor

Skrtel - 3 useless, why is he a fixture in the team, i reckon most of the panicking stems from him
Toure - 6 Best defender
Johnson - 5 better at RB
Henderson - 5 can run al day but lacks end product,
Lucas - 5 did okay but lacked support from defence and rest of midfield
Gerrard - 6 well taken goal and played well in second half but marked down for being invisible in first half
Lallana - 7 MOTM and didn't deserve being taken off
Sterling - 6 that's for second half, totally useless in first half and needs to stay on his feet more

Mignolet - 3 - Looks hysterical ,unacceptable mistakes.
Manquillo - 5 - Didn't make his presence felt
Skrtel - 4 - This games remind me why we should have shipped him years ago ,unstable and stupid.
Toure - 6 - Did Ok.
Johnson - 4 - Same Glenda ,poor defending and this time no support to offence.
Henderson - 4 - Headless chicken
Lucas - 4 - Every time he was involved it ended in a foul ,poor stuff.
Gerrard - 5 - Poor first half ,more involved in the 2nd.
Lallana - 6 - One of the few that came to play ,his goal saved us.
Sterling - 6 - Low on confidence ,wrong decisions very shaky game but can turn a game in an instant.
Lambert - 6 - Good game ,controlled most of the balls in the air ,good distribution as a Center forward ,solid.

Mignolet - 4 -Keeping up his 2 (at least) catastrophical errors per game record
Manquillo - 6 nothing solid but nothing stupid
Skrtel - 5 - few shockers
Toure - 7 solid
Johnson - 5 - it's Johnson init
Lucas -7 Underrated by many on here, Does what he does very well. Goes un-noticed because he doesnt get goals/assists, his role in the team is key for me.
Henderson - 6 - solid - took his goal well
Gerrard 8 - MOTM - Back to where he should have been playing for the past 18 months. CLEARLY never a DM. People should appritiate Lucas' role more after seeing Stevie struggle there.
Lallana - 7 Took his goal well
Sterling - 7 good outlet (got kicked off the park all night)
Lambert - 6 - Spent 70% of the game offside

Mignolet - 6 - the pass was horrible but some of you are overreacting. The OG was not his fault.
Manquillo - 5 - wasn't having his best game
Skrtel - 6
Toure - 6
Johnson - 6 - thought he was OK, definitely didn't have a shocker.
Lucas - 6 - made some stupid fouls but make no mistake, he's one of the reasons why our defense looks better now
Henderson - 6.5 - not much apart from the goal but a goal's a goal.
Gerrard - 7.5 - the media are overdoing it a bit but I agree with them, he was MOTM yesterday
Lallana - 7 - good game, good goal
Sterling - 7 - poor first half but improved in the second and contributed to both goals
Lambert - 6

Subs:
Moreno - 5 - has been out of form recently
Allen - 6.5 - thought he did well when he came on

Mingolet - 5 unlucky with the goal
Manquillo - 4 usually one of our better performers but was right out of sorts last night
Skrtel - 5 started erratically but improved as the game went on
Toure - 6 another steady performance
Johnson - 6 did okay
Henderson - 6 still not at his best but gets an extra mark for managing to get on the scoresheet
Lucas - 7 his reintroduction into the team may be a turning point in our season
Gerrard - 8 his best all round performance in years, even scored from open play
Sterling - 7 not everything he does comes off but his pace is a major outlet for us and he is a huge part of our attack
Lallana - 7 looked classy and scored at a vital time
Lambert - 6 frustratingly caught offside on a number of occassions but did hold the ball up well and gave us a focal point

Henderson - 6 just because he got a goal
Lucas - 7 thought he had a good game
Gerrard - 7 good game and led the line when needed
