LIVERPOOL V HULL CITY

MINGOLET - 6 decent game, didn't have that much to do but made a couple good saves
MANQUILLO - 7 may have been our best player IMO, worked hard in both attack and defence and got behind Hull on a couple of occassions
LOVREN - 6 steady game for a change, unlucky with that header that got cleared off the line
SKRTEL - 6 clean sheet and no real drama's
MORENO - 6 did okay, the back 4 looked much better today
CAN - 6 worked hard and got about the park, made a couple of powerful runs which are becoming a bit of a trademark of his.
ALLEN - 6 put in a shift for the team
GERRARD - 5 would have been a 3 but he pushed forward in the last 20 minutes and played quite well, still, he spent the first hour strolling about watching the likes of Can and Allen run their @rses off.
STERLING - 4 wasn't his day at all, he always tries hard but nothing was coming off
LALLANA - 6 one or two nice turns but didn't really impose himself on the game
BALOTELLI - 5 played alright, for the first time since the Spurs game he actually looked like he was on the same wave length as his team mates but he gets marked down a point or two for not converting at least one of his chances. At least he looked like he was part of the unit today though

SUBS
COUTINHO - 7 along with Lambert changed the game when he came on. Why is he starting on the bench?
LAMBERT - 6.5 gave us a further presence up front and we actually looked half decent when the subs were made
HENDO - 5 didn't have much time to influence the game

Mignolet - 6 - soilid, but not really challenged
Skrtel - 6 - same
Lovren - 6 - same
Manquillo - 6 - OK defensively, average going forward
Moreno - 6 - same
Gerrard - 7 - I thought Gerrard had a decent game. Controlled the midfield, passed it well (unlike the rest of the midfield) and had a few good forward runs, so basically did his job. Don't know what you're on about yakka
Allen - 6 - average, but his work-rate helped us not getting run over by oppo's midfield as usual
Can - 6 - same
Sterling - 6 - did well on a few occasions but didn't get involved enough
Lallana - 6 - same
Balotelli - 4 - had enough of him. Appreciate the hard work and all but it just isn't enough

Subs:

Coutinho - 7 - should have started
Lambert - 6
Henderson - 6

Mignolet - 6, Looked a lot more composed than usual.
Skrtel - 6 ,Thought he was good earlier ,made two 'Henchoz' like tackles to avert the danger of a Hull counter attack.
Lovren - 6, Solid enough.
Manquillo - 8, Tireless work rate and the pick of our defenders ,up and down the pitch all day ,has a real zest for the game and the shirt on his back
Moreno - 6, I'd like to see him go forward a lot more ,rather than curb his natural game.
Gerrard - 6,Hull got to our defence a bit too readily for my liking ,but he redeemed himself in the last 15 mins
Allen - 4 -Anonymous in the first 20 mins ,its like he's completely forgotten how  purposeful his retention of the football used to be .
Can - 6 -Grew into the game ,and made some promising runs from midfield ,and managed to stay on the field after Hulls attempts to  kick and elbow him off the field
Sterling -5,Frustrating ,and his final ball is shocking ,which gives us a bit of a problem when 90 % of our forward play is to seek him out ,whilst bypassing Balotelli
Lallana - 5 -Some audacious skill and then a disappointing lay off ,the latter seemed to persistently haunt the lads game earlier.
Balotelli -6 I'm giving Balotelli a 6 for his best performance since  Spurs and the Bitterz ,he could have had a hat trick ,but unfortunately for us his shooting boots and
luck seem to have deserted him....I'm not buying any of this media shite that he's not trying ,the lad worked hard today.

Coutinho- 9 ,Hull couldn't handle his ingenuity ,and his ability to free up space with some crisp passing and inventive movement.
Lambert -5  Gave us other options and took players away to afford Balotelli more opportunities.
Henderson- 5 Shocking dive ,other than that ,little time to impose his energy on the game.

MONGOLET - 6 - Can't slate him this time, he had nothing really to do
MANQUILLO - 6 - did ok
LOVREN - 6 - average
SKRTEL - 6- average
MORENO - 6 - average
CAN -  5 - not overly impressed
ALLEN - 5 - tried but lacks what we need
GERRARD - 5 - time for him to be dropped, but in favour of who?? we need a top draw central midfield general
STERLING - 6 - average
LALLANA - 6 - did ok, dont think he deserved to be subbed
BALOTELLI - 3 - main role of a striker is to score goals, he missed 4 or 5 clear cut chances (not for the first time), i dont buy this confidence B.S.

SUBS
COUTINHO - 7 - should have started the game, was best player on the field when he came on
LAMBERT - 5 - out of his depth

Liverpool V Swansea (League Cup)

Jones - 5 - did ok, just not good enough for us tbh
Manquillo - 6 - had a good game, fairly solid
Lovren - 7 - best game in a Liverpool shirt so far ?
Toure - 6 - did ok last night but dosn't fill you with confidence
Johnson - 5 - was ok
Lucas - 6 - decent game by his standards
Henderson - 7 - thought he had a really good game, captained the side and looked mature and solid
Coutinho - 8 - didn't get a goal, but ran the show, must start against newcastle
Markovic - 3 - not looking like a 20 million player, more like a 2 million at the moment
Lambert - 5 - looked ok, but not good enough
Borini - 6- was industrious and put himself about, nice cross for the goal but again not good enough for us

Subs......

Balotelli - 5 - took his goal well, still has bad attitude, stupid conflict with Shelvey, if he keeps up the $hit he will get a red sooner or later
Lallana - 5 - didn't do a great deal when he came on to give a good or bad rating

Man of match : Coutinho
Flop of match (again) : Markovic

Jones - 5 ,Done a decent enough job between the sticks.
Manquillo - 6 ,Good performance ,but he never gives anything less.
Lovren - 6 ,Solid enough ,and grabbed the winner.
Toure - 6 Still some indecisive passes ,but done OK
Johnson - 6,Looks so much better on the left
Lucas - 7,Provided much more protection for the back four ,in a role he is actually suited to .
Henderson - 7 Seemed a touch lacklustre ,in comparison to his usual game ,but still played well.
Coutinho - 8 Majestic !
Markovic - 5 Showed some good touches ,enough to suggest he has the talent ,but struggled to get into the game .
Lambert - 4 Woeful ,finding life increasingly more difficult than first expected in a Liverpool shirt.
Borini - 7 Best performance in a red  shirt.

Balotelli 7, Some of his runs were brilliant and his goal was class .
Lallana 5,Wasn't exactly a marked improvement on Lazar.

Jones - 6
Manquillo - 7 - love this lad, impassable again.
Toure - 6 - did well
Lovren - 6 - should have done better for their goal IMO. Scored a good goal to save us though
Johnson - 7 - I can't believe I'm giving him a 7. I'm not sure if I'm being generous because I'm surprised that he finally started looking like a football player or he really deserves it
Lucas - 7 - solid game, Brendan will be making a mistake if he sells him to Napoli
Henderson - 7
Coutinho - 8 - played well, had an assist, definitely MOTM
Markovic - 5 - some good touches at times but still looks like a flop
Borini - 6
Lambert - 5

Subs:
Balotelli - 7 - scored a goal, job done, can't expect more from him
Lallana - 5

JONES - 6 looked a bit shaky with the ball at his feet and maybe could have done a bit better with the goal but made a couple of decent saves as well so a reasonable display from Brad.
MANQUILLO - 8 did well against a tricky opponent in Montero, puts a real shift in too, he's up and down the line all game.
LOVREN - 6 could have done better with their goal but scored the winner so fair dues to him
TOURE - 6 solid game from Kolo
JOHNSON - 7 probably his best performance in a red shirt in 18 months
LUCAS - 6 had a decent game, midfield looked good against a Swansea side that can keep the ball and embaress you.
HENDERSON - 6 like Lucas did well against a side that can give you the run around if you're not careful
COUTINHO - 8 will the real Philip Coutinho please stand up? He just did
MARKOVIC - 5 one or two signs that he's getting a bit more confident
BORINI - 6 good performance from Fabio
LAMBERT - 5 did okay

SUBS -
BALOTELLI - 7 came on when we were 1 down with 10 minutes to go and scores the equaliser, job done
LALLANA - 5 struggled to get into the game

Skrtel - 5 - ok I guess
Gerrard - 4 - The face of our team ,tired ,energy less ,totally spent.
Allen - 4 - poor
Henderson - 2 - slowly we learn he is an overhyped work horse ,so boring , rigid ,robotic drone.
Coutinho - 5 - dying out their with no options to pass.
Sterling - 5 - Nothing
Balotelli - 4 - Can't stand his offsides run u wnker.

Mignolet - 6
:glare:
Moreno - 3 - dreadful display ,about as bad as Enrique's last appearance
Lovren -Some decent closing down ,but no understanding whatsoever between him and Skrtel.
Skrtel - 4 Should have buried his header .
Gerrard -4 Anonymous first half ,and then we played to his game second half ,way too many over hit passes
Allen - 4  If Joe Allen is our water carrier ,then he's carrying an empty bucket.
Henderson - 3 horrendous game by his standards.
Coutinho -4 - Denied any space.
Sterling - 4 - Final ball is woeful,wasteful
Balotelli -5  No service whatsoever ,had to chase the ball down himself ,and when he had it used it better than most.
