Couldn't make the monthly averages for last month because half the games weren't rated. Is this thread still alive?

Ayways

Swansea vs Liverpool player ratings:

Karius - 4.5 - I said before we singed him that he has similar weaknesses as Mignolet and it seems I was right. Not going to judge him after just 2 games but he doesn't seem an improvement to Mignolet. Quite the contrary.
Clyne - 7 - a bit at fault for the first goal but OK overall. Don't know how he was named MOTM on sky
Matip - 6.5
Lovren - 6.5
Milner - 8 - thought he was outstanding, especially in the second half. Very energetic and constantly kept the pressure on the oppo. Topped it all off with the winning goal
Henderson - 7 - had a few mistakes but was active all the time and made a good assist for Firmino's goal
Wijnaldum - 5.5 - mostly anonymous
Lallana - 6
Mane - 6 - tried hard but not much came off for him today
Coutinho - 6 - thought he was pretty wasteful but he did well when he was dictating the tempo from deeper
Firmino - 8 - very much like Milner, constant hard work in both attack and defence, pressed the oppo well and scored a goal

Subs:
Sturridge - 4 - needs to do A LOT better than that if he wants to go back to starting games regularly
Can - n/a
Origi - n/a

KARIUS - 4 early days I know but he looked like Mingolet at his flappy worst.
CLYNE - 7 thought he played well, made a lot of lung busting runs down the right
LOVREN - 6 did okay but on more than one occasion Swansea found a lot of space between him and Matip and should really have done better with the opportunities they created.
MATIP - 6 see above
MILNER - 7 solid display and showed great composure to stick away the pen
HENDERSON - 6.5 decent performance
WIJNALDUM - 5.5
LALLANA - 6
MANE - 6 tried hard
COUTINHO - 6
FIRMINO - 7.5 well taken header to get us back in it.

Karius - 6     He's ok.
Clyne-  6      Fair shift
Matip- 7       Doing a good job considering he's new to the epl
Lovren- 7     No complaints, he' become the key man at the back.
Milner- 7      Solid as ever.
Can - 5        Obviously rusty  but he'll be making a greater impact soon.
Henderson- 5  Struggling to evr like this lad. Back passes galore.
Coutinho- 6  Still hit and miss
Mané- 6       Low key game
Sturridge- 4 On borrowed time
Firmino- 6   Another low key game

Subs

Lallana- 7   Made n immediate impact
Moreno- n/a  Scares the hell out of me.
Origi- n/a Not on long enought to make an impact

KARIUS - 4 didn't concede I suppose but he needs to improve quickly if he wants to keep that number 1 shirt
CLYNE - 5 decent game defensively but his distribution was poor
MATIP - 6.5 played well
LOVREN - 6.5 ditto
MILNER - 6.5 solid as ever
HENDERSON - 6 not his best game but worked hard
CAN - 5 looked rusty (too many touches when in possession etc) but to be fair he's hardly played this season
COUTINHO - 7 struggled a bit in CM but came to life when he returned to his natural position.
MANE - 6 tried hard but found it hard to find space
FIRMINO - 6.5 had a decent game I thought
STURRIDGE - 4 looking increasingly like a square peg in a round hole

KARIUS: 5. Still inconvinced with the guy. Don't know how much of this is due to language issues while communicating with the defense. May be affecting his confidence a bit and his decision making as well.. Jury's still out.
CLYNE: 6. Not his usual self... sound but not as incisive in the upper third
MATIP: 6.5. Sound
LOVREN: 7. Really starting to be pleased with him... When he was first here he looked a right nightmare. But since Klopp, he looks a lot more solid and dependable.
MILNER: 7. Mr Dependable. Never truly exceptional but he does a job wherever he is on the field. Every team needs a player like that. Can't all be superstars.
HENDERSON: 6. Did alright... but not as good as before. The Hendo and Can pairing seems to make us a little more ponderous in midifield.
CAN: 5. Definitely needs more time as he is definitely still off the pace right now. Don't like the pairing with Hendo in the engine room though.
COUTINHO: 6.5. I love him to bits... but he needs to play in his own position to be most effective. Not as versatile in other roles.
MANE: 6. His worst game in an LFC shirt to date. Affected by the effectiveness or lack of it I feel.
FIRMINO: 7. Played well.... not brilliant but no complaints really.
STURRIDGE: 3.5. This is probably too harsh and I am definitely biased against him. He simply does not have the work ethic or the ability to switch his ego off. For me he is a fair weather player and cannot be depended on in a big game or when his confidence is low. Mentally weak.

KLOPP: 7. He did pretty ok considering the loss of Adam and Georginio. He could not play his usual style as a result.

MOM: David De Gea - If it wasn't for him, we would have nicked the 3 points. As much as it pains me to say it of a Manc, he is a class player.
