It's not harsh. And if you can't get your head around some of the implications of what sacking the manager now means, well, f*ck it, you're a bit short sighted aren't you. This is not even half as much about Benitez as some of you dispisers of the man even think it is.

Honestly, can somebody tell me where this Roy Hodgson love in has come from? He's had one half decent season in a Cup competition where they significantly overachieved. His side finished below Stoke and Blackburn last season and could barely buy a point away from home.

Aye, the Mighty Roy Hodgson - conquerer of....well...f*ck all, really. We get him, watch us drop like a tonne of sh*te right down the f*cking table and stay there while playing 'park the bus' and hoof the ball. Oh, and watch Torres get replaced by the mercurial Bobby Zamora up top. F*ck my life!

For Rafa its different, as  Bav said one poor season and level of hate has been frankly quite amazing.

but it wasn't just one bad season. he won two trophies four years ago luckily on penalties with an inherited side. and even then it was down to gerrard not the manager obviously. i don't even know why we bothered having a manager in those games. it was all down to gerrard blah blah blah.

Luckily on penalties? We came back from 3-0 ffs, we earnt that right to go to a shootout! It wasn't like it was a 0-0 going into the pens.

I don't remember anyone calling it a bad season when we stuffed the mancs 4-1 at OT or spanked Real Madrid home and away. Or even when we got to Athens.

And he done all that with 1 arm tied behind his back. How many other managers managed that with a net spend of 25 or 30 mil a season?

Anyway whats done is done now.

What can we look forward to next season?

A make shift manager who isn't good enough, an anti-climax in the transfer window where we sign Kevin Betsy for £1.50 from Wycombe, disappointment in all major competitions, a mid table finish and the prospect of our key players leaving if we have another nightmare season, that's if they don't leave this summer.

I'm looking forward to next season, I cannot wait.
