the only thing crouch did wrong last night was to be the only one going off, if you are going to tackle like that then at least make it count, mikel is an odious little kunt, constantly fouling, elbows everywhere and i am surprised that nobody has done him before in retaliation

:D  :D ... very true Ciggy...

I was commenting last night during the game that the fella tried to move quickly and was flapping his arms and legs vigorously... too bad his whole body doesn't wanna follow... he has alot of inertia in his body...

I don't understand why the fitness trainers don't ask him to strenghthen his muscles to have enough power to at least have abit of burst of acceleration... right now he's got 0 acceleration... really 0. And there are basketball players 6'7" 6'8" 6'9" all with tremendous athleticism... oh well... he's just not build like that... and mind you 6'7" in basketball terms is an average height...

I dont mind Crouch TBH.

But Voronin and Kuyt for me epitomise Benitez's style, defend from the front first, score second. :(

My problem with Crouch last night was his attitude. You find out who the winners are when you're up against it. He ambled about when he should have been pressuring the ball to help his team win it back. There's no point in him feeling sorry for himself, he's playing for Liverpool and £50k a week. Yes, he was picked in a weakened team in a low priority game (for Rafa), but he's still got 90 minutes to prove to the manager he's got what it takes. Last night I finally realised Crouch has had enough of being a squad player and finally let it all out in one moment of frustration, even if that c#nt Mikel was rolling around like he'd been shot.

Pull your head out the sand for one minute si vous plait

Last 1000 mins (give or take)

Crouch - 4 goals in 1001 mins (250 mins/goal)
Kuyt - 5 goals in 1015 mins (203 mins/goal)

Last 25 appearances

Crouch - 4 goals in 25 appearances (0.160 goals/app)
Kuyt - 10 goals in 25 appearances (0.400 goals/app)

And for the record Crouch averaged 54 mins per appearance compared to Kuyt's 74 but that still isn't 2.5 times as long on the pitch. In fact Crouch works out at a goal every 336 mins in his last 25 appearances compared to Kuyt's goal every 186 mins in his

And yes Voronin is equally ineffective if not worse, but base the "dissing crouch" and "waste of space kuyt" comments on something more than bias. If you want to make Crouch look good then try comparing him with Voronin, Meijer, Cisse, Baros etc ie scrape the barrel

i'm not dissing crouch i think he is amazing but if we start with him then who hell is going to save us.

he in my opinion is not athletic enough over 90 minutes week in week out.
if this guy could add some muscle in the gym and work on his fast twitch muscles, then we  will have a world class striker.

but his nice touches goes to waste because it is done at a speed that allows defenders to get a tackle in.

if we could speed up his movements just by 10% we will have something awesome to shout about.
rafa need to get some top notch people to get these people to reach their  maximum.

i don't think the standard run of the mill exercises works for everbody, some people walk, run and move differently. bruce lee was not the greatest martial artist in the world because he did the same standard routines as everybody else. he did excercise designed specifically for his body.
