Insua has been included in the squad for our trip to Germany... By the looks of things we will keep out 2 left backs from last season and won't sign any replacements.

I think we're in for Konchesky now tbh.

Basically Wigan want 9m for Figuroa and i don't think we have the cash. And i don't think he's worth 9m.

I don't think it's an issue of not having the cash. I think it's an issue of not wanting to spend 9mill on cover for LB.

Fair point. Insua is off though. Just said on twitter, unfortunately.

I think I've just found the only other person than myself that thinks Insua leaving isn't a good idea. Could it be?

I'd rather him then Konchesky! He's 21 as well so he has time on his side. Also our team should be playing with more confidence this season and hopefully more attacking threat since we have the options so the defence won't be in such a big mess. I blame a lot Insua's poor performance on lack of help from Benayoun and us not attacking that much.

happy he's staying but i still think we need another left back.

Insua isnt ready yet and Aurelio just cant be counted on to stay fit for a season.

Excellennt move... Hes a player i like.. can defend and is good as keeping possession all over the pitch...
Hopefully Insua completes his move sometime soon and we can use that cash to bring in another good LB who is ready NOW to play at the highest level... Figueroa isnt a bad option but im still pretty convinced that Salcido at 2mill or so represents excellent value for money...
