Step by step, he's not good enough yet. Last 20 minutes impact player will give him confidence without putting him under too much pressure.

First Diaz ruled out until after the world cup and now Jota. Should give Carvalho a few opportunities on the left hand side of attack over the next month or so. Looks a real talent.

He’s better off getting games/gaining experience over there than training all week with us only to sit on his @rse all weekend.
Good luck to the lad.

I think both teams play a certain way so should only help him if he is to come back.

Should be good for him, though I remember some time ago someone asking when was the last time we sent someone on loan and then he came back and was a good player for us?

The best place for him to develop is here under Klopp with the lads you want him to be playing with. I thought he did alright in the games he was getting at the start of the season. I read the reports that he wasn't happy due to the amount of minutes he was getting which is understandable but us replacing him with someone younger and even less experienced isn't making us stronger as a squad.

Premier league would have been better and if he went to Fulham he would get plenty of minutes. Best of luck to him in Germany though and I'm sure he will do well there.

Player isn't good enough and will never be good enough for a top team. Pure delusion to start with him and Eliott early in the season as playing with kids will kill you.

This.

I hope he proves me wrong, but I think his LFC career is over.

Former Fulham youth talent Carvalho was sent out on loan to the Bundesliga for the season with the aim of getting consistent minutes and returning to Liverpool a better player. But he has started just twice in 13 Leipzig matches and has been an unused substitute in three of the last 4.

That is a real problem for Klopp and co if it continues. A second season as a benchwarmer would delay the 21-year-old's development and likely force the need for another year out on loan in 2024-25. Liverpool are claimed to have a recall clause in the deal that is active in the January transfer window and it is one they will be giving serious thought to exercising in the current circumstances.

He'd be perfect at West Ham or somewhere like that.

How much of that is down to his own attitude and perhaps lack of humility and patience?

Wonder how he's doing at Leipzig, really thought he was going to hit it off here.

Think he's only started 2 or 3 games. The rest of his games have been off the bench.

Wouldn't surprise me if he returns in January and is loaned off again.

End of the day it’s not a problem with Leipzig, if he was good enough or if he produced even in training he would play more. It seems he has lost his mojo.
