Personally, if I'd to choose a man of the match, it would be Dirk Kuyt. Ahh, how's that for controversy. Stick that in yer pipe and shcmoke it.

the derby is the biggest game of the season and we feckin battered the mongrels in the end.

Dont slag off our players its not the time nor the place 3 points and bragging rights.

And loads of Evertonains walking around looking like this now :D

Reina 7 - Didn't have anything to worry about really
Arbeloa 7 - linked up well every so often, never crossed the ball well though
Skrtel 7 - The usual
Carragher 7 - Same
Dossena 6 - didn't do much aside from about the first 15 minutes
Kuyt - 8 Played pretty well although most of it never came from the right only when he was inside
Xabi - 7 Nothing special but helped control the game
Gerrard - 9 great all around performance
Riera - 7 Solid outing again
Keane - 7 wasn't that great but made both goals possible
Torres - 8 didn't play well the first half but scored both goals

Gerrard was fantastic today , the unsung hero , some good passes , tackles , interceptions and was great defending as well . I though some of his off the ball movement was fantastic , pity that he did not get his 100 against everton . Not to dampen the result but i thought alonso had a below average game , made 2 or 3 nice passes and thats about all .

I thought Kuyt had a strong game today.  For someone lining up at RM in a 4-4-2 he got into the box a lot and was instrumental in creating space for Torres on both goals (not to mention the 3rd that was chalked off :D ).  Credit where it's due--good game Dirk.

In that vein, I thought Dossena, despite his limitations, was a willing runner on the overlap today.  Sadly, he made several lung-busting runs only for Keane to not give him the final ball.

A great result today and I think the goals will see Torres back on track now.  He looked like he was in for another frustrating afternoon but his two superb takes provided the quality to kill the Bitters off.  Nice to have you back, son! :nod

i think gerrard man of match but i thought that riera played well today even though they didn't seem to wanna play it down his side, he was there arms wide open alot and i mean alot!, i watched him throughout the game and every time he is there wide open and they aint usin him, granted he took the p*** alot but his off the ball movement is great and we need to make more use of him, just seems they ain't used to having something called width cause every time we got a cross in we looked dangerous, kuyt played well today even though i hate to admit it and i mean HATE!! :P, good game, good result so f*** it :P :D

Lets hope he can keep this run going and a massive big up to the players who handled everton really well and gave them no chance to score.  :D

Riena 7
Arba 7
carra 8
skrtel 8
doss 6
riera 7
gerrard 8
alonso 8
kuyt 7
keane 9
torres 10

how I seen the game.  :eyebrow

Gerrard at least 9

Well yes he played well but far within him self I think no doubt he was strong powerful and agressive but isn't that just the norm for him ?

But yeah you could say 9 or 8 but I think he a 8 just my point of view.
