I will bet any of you, a billion, squillion, kajillion, zillion shillings that we don't get Everton. Uefa may not want 5 English teams in the CL, but they are stupid. They are far more likely to draw Everton against one of the bigger European sides like Ajax or Inter. Hopefully, we'll get someone relativly easy and we can all start saying "ahh, and you came so close". I wouldn't mind them, but I really can't see it happening.

Funny how he never mentioned the fortuitus draw against Southampton who tore them apart an they managed (with the aid of some dodgy 'keeping) a last kick equaliser.

I wouldnt mind playing the bitters, as we can shut them up once and for all with all their premeture talk last season about being the best team in Mersyside. There would be nothing sweeter than to see Moyes face as we dump them out of a cup they certainly dont belong in!!!
If we dont get them then i can only pray they get Inter or Ajax and get hammered.

the discussion will go on and on whatever happens. if us and everton get drawn  all the talk will be about a fix. if everton get a tough team like inter or ajax and go out while we get an 'easier' team and go through there will be talk about a fix. maybe the only way to keep everyone happy is if we get a tough team, and there are a couple of unseeded teams who could be tricky, and go through while everton get knocked out by a 'weaker' team.

personally i'd rather not get everton in the 3rd round. the game would be too heated, very physical and, as is always the case in derbies, anything could happen. i would always favour us to beat them but in the event of anything going wrong the aftermath would be unbearable.

we'll just leave it to sorting them out in the league.
