Robbie will surely stay now. If for no other reason than his record will make it impossible for Rafa to get rid of him unless he gets rid of all other strikers at the club.
Before we were praising his movement, and his play - "he'll score soon, he's already had three dissallowed, etc". I'd have kept him on that evidence alone, but now that he's racked in four goals in five starts (is that right?) he's shown that he CAN score as well as playing well, something that Crouch had a big problem with early in his career.
I don't think Rafa will officially give Robbie the contract until the end of the season, but I think Robbie had won his contract even before that goal at the Annie Road end against Fulham.
