A trophy that meant we ended our wait for a trophy, a trophy that means we're back in Europe, a trophy that means we have more than three players who won something with Liverpool in the squad, a trophy that keeps us as England's most successful club, a trophy that brought me to tears when we won, a trophy that was quite possibly the happiest I've been in the last few years supporting Liverpool. So yeah, that trophy meant f*ck all.
Kenny's sacking was shocking, a man who has done so much for this club as a player, manager and human being should be allowed to walkaway when he wants not when some yank without a clue thinks so.
So wrong.
Whilst I did not agree with the way things panned out with Kenny.
No manager, no matter what standing he has with the club, should be able to have power over the owners. All managers should be judged on results, not on history. I think it was premature to let Kenny go but in reality there has been no uproar to his departure because last season was terrible.
Even legends are not, and should not be, immune to criticism.
