I'm not so sure Chelski or Scum have entered the race to sign Dirk Kuyt, it might just be move to try to write us off making a move for the Dutch international.

Rafael Benitez today revealed he's confident of bringing another new striker to Anfield before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
The Anfield boss still believes he's one striker short of the ideal squad he'd like to kick off the new Premiership campaign in less than three weeks time.

Benitez admits he probably won't conclude a deal in time to register any new player to take part in the club's Champions League qualifier with Maccabi Haifa, but he hopes to have another new man on board before the August 31 deadline.

"We're continuing to work," he says. "Maybe it's too late for the Champions League qualification round, but there is one month left and that gives us the time to sign the player we need.

"I think we still need an extra striker, just in case. I'm happy with the strikers we have but I think we need another and I'm confident we'll sign one."

In my personall opinion I am right in everything I say and most of the time I am proved right by the rest of sociaty.

Lets satrt with my views on Kuyt. We don't buy Kuyt and win the league is everyone going we still need Kuyt. NO they are all praising our forwards because of the goals they have scored.

Garcia. Doesn't get a goal next year everyone will slate him becuase that's all he can do.

Zenden. Won't be seen this year regularly. Isn't good enough. Simple as that people.

Kewell. Wouldn't of played last year had Zenden not got thankfully injured. And will hardly play this year.

Shevchenko can do more than score as he proved in Istanbul. Running our defence raggered.

Garcia can only score. I'd like to see how many times Garcia plays a successful pass, wins a tackle and makes assists next year. If it is more than Keane (spurs) Rooney (utd) Robben (chelsea) or Ljungberg (arsenal) I would be very surprised.
