again mate i only post what i hear.

I would say that if Rafa left then there would be some very happy players at our club.

their books are going to be a great read once they give up football.

You hear more bullsh.it than a cow farmer . The press print pure speculation and you swallow it all up like a little baby and spread it around .

He hears it from pals in the press who we all know print gossip and pure speculation - the bigger the better to improve their circulation

Benitez made Torres the player he is now. He took a wage cut to play under him and he hates him now? Complete and utter w"nk, and I'm amazed at the level of intellect of some people who subscribe to such notions upon hearing them.  Sure last week apparently Torres wasn't injured and Rafa stopped him from playing to save him for a cup game? Where was Torres the other day? Over in Spain getting his knee checked out. Yeah, that f*cking knee he had the ice pack on.  Some people also need to remember that Torres is a very important player for Spain who wants to go and play in the World Cup. If Rafa plays him with a niggling injury and it causes him to miss the World Cup, then, and only then will that be grounds enough for Torres to actually dislike him. Benitez not only has Torres' Liverpool aspirations to contend with, he also has his countries too.

Lakes the press (and particularly the sport press) are full of so much bulls...h....i...t it's untrue, lets be honest here, it's an endless stream of speculative nonsense most of the time, whether it's transfer rumours, boardroom unrest, players falling out with eachother etc etc etc. Sure the truth is in there occasionally but the truth is your juicy titbits are about as interesting (and likely) as spending 10 mins on Newsnow or reading a Welsh Wizzard special.

He's a walking security blanket for them, on the one hand diluting criticism which would be coming their way, and on the other splitting the supporters down the middle.

Equally, given his record in the transfer market recently there can't be many people who take his "I need four more 20 million pound players" line too seriously. I'm not saying they wouldn't be handy to have because they would, but surely even the most ardent Rafa fan would find it hard to argue that they blame the owners too much for not giving him wads of cash to spend. For the owners it's all about adding value to the club before it's sold, and only players which are worth more after you've bought them than they were before you bought them can be said to be adding value, on recent record as I say there haven't been too many of those.

So my guess is that if there is any susbstance to the rumours (and sorry Lakes but I don't think there is), it won't be long before the owners are releasing press statements saying just how much they back Rafa and how much they want him to stay at the club. As I've said before, the day Benitez leaves Liverpool would be a disaster for these two, and they'll do everything in their power to ensure it doesn't happen.

What a load of f*cking sh*te. If Benitez is to the detriment of this club, and if the Yanks are trying to raise the value of it, then it makes no sense whatsoever to keep a manager that is failing to keep them in the CL and bring in players that are, in the long term, valuable assets to them to bring the value of the team up. Surely you need to spend money these days to do that. You've got to spend money to make money. Simple economics. Your rant doesn't add up at all.

How was mine a rant  Read your own posts fella. It matters not a jot how much you jump up and down and swear at people, you are clueless. I cannot remember a single post you have made in all your years on the forum which have caused me to think "feck me, he's got a point there".

Typical of your input was when you atacked all and sundry in pre season for voicing the opinion that such things might matter in the long run. You said if I recall correctly that they were all clueless c...s because results and performances in pre-season games are completely irrelevent. Then you accused Gerrard the other week of insisting upon taking all the set pieces, like they just make it up as they go along .

If I were you I'd keep a bit of a lower profile and chill out a bit fella.

Mick, you've been talking bollox for a while now. You've lost the plot totally, especially with that last thread you started which is now by no coincidence been wiped off this board. Whatever credibility you had, you flushed it down the toilet with that thread. I'll leave it at that.

BTW, what this supposed to mean?

"If I were you I'd keep a bit of a lower profile and chill out a bit fella."

Simple this: I've said it once, and I'll say it again: if I think you're talking balls, I'll come straight out with it and say so. Now, if by me taking a lower profile you mean to stop saying what I feel, well you can f*ck right off! You've had free reign of slandering the manager at any given opportunity in every single thread, and even gone off the rails now to invent this kind of mad theory to appease yourself that Benitez is tied to the hip of the Yanks in some kind of conspiracy to bring this club down, and even went as far as saying that the hardliners on the Kop are in on it, yet you expect the likes of me to not call you out on such sh*te? You are not a mod and as such have no authority to tell me how to conduct my business on this forum.

Edit ...... I posted before Emeralds edit...... no need for that mate, Mick was giving an opinion (right or wrong) not a warning from a mod, ex mod or pub landlord.
