Yes, it was 442 indeed but with 2 defensive midfielders (Gerrard in a defensive role) . And that also explains the long ball system we're playing during the 1st half.

No Benny, against Sunderland Gerrard played as a CM, today he played as a defensive midfielder until late in the game.

I just find it amazing that there are still some people who refuse to hold the manager.....er coach accountable for our failings, most of the time its always the same people. They'll blame Gerrard & Torres (the the very players who have dragged us from the $hit time and again), the owners, feckin parry, the tea lady and heimdell but the manager is simply faultless.

Amazing.....

You know what....all the manure fans want benitez to be our manager for the next 10 years as they know we won't win the league if he persists with his methods.........
