i imagine starting 2 games in a row and a trip in europe was deemed enough to give babel a rest

i would also consider that babel isn'tthe most resolute of players, especially against a physical side like BR

Are we changing our side now to worry about Blackburn at home ?

Babel is about 22 and surely could play 2 games in a week ?

have you only just turned up?  :D  i;'m not stating my personal preference , but the likely Rafa justification for the selection

(actually the second bit is my preference, i'm not convinced the blackburn game would have suited Ryan)

Even if Babel has far from impressed since his arrival I will not judge him fully until he get a real run in the team and the same chance as Lucas and Kuyt for example. They where **** for many games but was still picked game after game. This gave them confidence and at least help them grow as players(if that is enough still is a discuassion for another day).
Babel has never been given that opportunity.

Part of me believe that Rafa would look like a fool if he sold him to Birmingham and he'd play game in and game out and succeed.

he quite clearly has "attitude"

rafa not a big fan of disrespect , i think this has limited his chances as much as any form issues...

But if you channel that attitute I believe it will give him confidence. He has shown glimpses of what he can do as he has a faboulus shot and has pace to take on a fullback and get crosses in from the right.
But you just kill any confidence in him if you axe him even if he has a good game. Babel has never been given anything close to an extended run in the team.

And don't say because he hasn't deserved it because Lucas and Kuyt was cack for 10-15 game in a row and still was picked.

If you treat Babel the right way and give him chances I wonder what we will get out of him.

agree that he probably has a lot to give in the correct environment

unfortunately the high pressure situation we're in (and at any top club tbh) is not ideal for nurturing youngsters

hope he comes good inthe run-in  as it could be vital (see pavluychenko coming in from the cold recently to hit important goals for spurs)

£9m offer reputedly on the table for Babel in today's gossip.

Also linked with Costa Rican Bryan Ruiz (again), not sure where the respective price tags come from.

Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Please Heavenly Father make this true. I'd love to see Roy with £9m in his hand. Although £9m is not much in today's market, I'm very much confident in Roy's ability to find a jewel even with that sort of money.

If there ever was a one trick pony, this is babel. Came with so much promise, next Henry, my :censored:. His profile on wikipedia says Dutch professional football player/ rapper who plays for Liverpool fc. Says it all. Pls sell him for 9 millions. One of the worst buys by rafa. And don't get me started on he wasn't given enough chance. Couldn't cut it as a striker, couldn't cut it as a winger. Problem is mostly  in the head.

Should definitly sell him.  He won't be involved much at all this year anyways.  Kuyt, jovanovic, Maxi, Cole and even Stevie or Aurelio if needed can cover the flanks.

Torres, ngog or Kuyt will cover up front.  (hopefully another striker before window shuts and babel money would help).

So if Babel stays... he will only be involved as an impact substitution if we need some pace.

We could do with some pacey wingers... but Babel has no end product at all.

i dont think we need him. Jovanovic showed so much more effort and positional awareness against Arsenal. sell him. he doesnt seem to have his priorities right either with all the rapping stuff.
