Sometimes i dont know when you are just taking the p!ss as all of your posts are equally ridiculous.

in what way? maybe your posts are ridiculous, did you ever stop to consider that or are you always right because you never have an opinion that differs from the flock?

Yay i'm always right

I was being serious with what i said, you post that much rubbish am not sure whether your sarcy posts are sarcy or just more sh!te.

nani has had about 2 decent games for united and is a similar type of player that majorly flatters to deceive.
Wouldnt want him in a million years.

I don't think I ever said I wanted him at Liverpool did I?? I just said he was a much better player than Babel, is that the bit that you consider rubbish?

Why even compare them then ?

I consider 99.9999% of what you post to be rubbish  :D

well that shot the other day should make sure that this thread keeps going for a few more weeks anyway. i look forward to it resurfacing at the top of the board when ryan does something else of note in six weeks time before petering out into abject mediocrity for the remainder of the season. :D

Rafa and Babel's bank manager are the only ones who have faith in the lad.

If hes got faith then why doesnt he play him?

With the exception of a decent shot Babel is terribel I just do not see this potential, he is totally one footed, poor control and terrible awareness of his team mates around him and his attitude is just a total joke.
Nani although having a very week final ball for me is light years ahead, constant threat who take players on and actually links up with his team mates and unfortunatly after struggling, appears now to be kicking on. Lets also not forget Nani has constantly warmed the bench without a single word of complaint.
In short neither are a Ribery or Ronaldo however if I was picking a best eleven and had to choose one for the wing without question it would be Nani..... Anyway Babel is still convinced he is a striker thats onother one of his gripes, this despite this despite no ability to hold up the play with the ball usually hitting his shins and ending up back somewhere near our central midfield.

Actually I recall him slagging off Ferguson a few times and moaning about not starting.

I probably would take Nani over Babel simply because he seems much closer to reaching his potential ; Babel hasnt changed since he joined us years ago.

i wouldn't say Lucas is that bad, but he is average at best.

Not really surprising since the Babel, Kuyt and Lucas threads all say the same things anyway. From my point of view I think Rafa should stay.

Deserves a mention I reckon... put in some nice crosses, got past players and didnt really give possesion away.

Alright we were only playing against Urinal Urinati but its good for his confidence and Rafa should get him a run of games to try and set him off onto good form.

Probably wouldnt be a good idea against Man City though :D

The irony is that so many were calling for our best side against those "Romanian pikeys" BUT perhaps if we'd gone with a more second string XI then we'd have had more hunger and perhaps won by more. It certainly worked quite well away against PSV last season, maybe different circumstances but notice no Gerrard, Alonso, Torres or Kuyt and we still won more convincingly than we have in any cup game this season

PSV vs LIVERPOOL 09/12/08

Cavalieri, Arbeloa, Carragher, Agger, Dossena, Mascherano, Lucas, Babel, N'Gog, Riera, Keane

Subs : Reina, Gerrard, Alonso, Benayoun, Darby (for Arbeloa 69), Kelly (for Carragher 82), Spearing (for Riera 76)

We won 3-1 without much in the way of stars playing. A solid CB pairing, Mascherano and Riera in midfield and the rest were less certain of starting regularly.

If we'd started with Patch, Babel and N'Gog in attack and maybe given some more kids a game mixed in with a few stalwarts then things might have been better. Sometimes a change is good, players at the moment seem stuck in a rut and incapable of doing things different which is perhaps what we need. Last night could have been ideal for Pacheco to start and Babel to show what he can do, something he won't while playing odd 10-30 mins here and there. He's scored one in his last nine appearances, same as N'Gog. N'Gog has started in eight of his last nine appearances while Babel has played no more than 45 minutes in his last nine.

Didn't Rafa say "Babel can shine" ? Maybe he's going to have him polished because he doesn't seem likely to give him much of a chance

Credit were it's due, the Romanians certainly looked a lot less comfortable once Babel came on and started to run at them.

Now that Babel's gonna be with us until at least the summer I'd like to see him given a bit more playing time to finally try and prove himself, he certainly can't do it with just a cameo apperance here and there.
