I didn't take too much notice of him during the Euro U-21's but he was considered one of their top players and has had big praise from none other than Van Basten so he's obviously got something special about him.

I think that not having been a long term target and coming somewhat outta nowhere then he'll have a little less pressure on his shoulders from the fans so hopefully he will be allowed to acclimatise and mature over the next couple of seasons.

i like the fact Arsenal were in for him

Arsene likes a certain quality of player, normally great on the ball, great technique and movement

and the word from holland is he is like a young Henry

Now then, I´d rather take an 11.5 million punt on this lad than bring in a 9 million Michael Owen.

Rafa knows what he´s doing.

Sounds like our very own Solomon Kalou.  Here's hoping he makes more of an impact than the Ivorian.

I think he's a cracking player, one of the most talented youngsters we could have bought, I reckon he'll be a revelation for us. We've needed pace, power and dribbling ability and that's what he'll bring, he's quality. The doubters will always pop up and Stu will always say we should have signed Anelka  but I have the utmost confidence in Babel and think he will be a top top player in years to come.

Hi Guys, i'm from Holland and a huge fan of Feyenoord Rotterdam. Thanks to Dirk Kuyt i also watch all the Liverpool games.

So back ontopic: Because i live in Holland and know the eredivisie and Ryan Babel very well, i want to say to the fans of Liverpool that the money Liverpool spent on Ryan is a bit too much!! Ryan is a talented player, but not the most talented player in Holland. He played a lot of games for Ajax, but never convinced me! Maybe he will in the future, but i think he has a long way to go.

But i give him the bennefit of the doubt and i'll hope he gives Liverpool a big boost in the front!
