I've heard a lot about the lad from Dutch friends since this signing was announced, and read plenty more on various forums, and the general opinion seems to be that we've paid far too much for him, he's not very good yet (and opinion seems fairly divided on whether he ever will be) and there are many better talents in Dutch football at the moment. Hopefully these people will be proven wrong, but I can't say it doesn't worry me when the people who have seen him play regularly are telling the ones who haven't that he isn't up to the job.

Also considering 2 months ago we started Bolo Zenden in a Champions League final, I'm not sure a 20 year old right footed forward-who-can-also-play-on-the-left-but-it-isn't-his-best-position is sufficient to bolster such a weak area of the team.
