Several Liverpol players have had a row with Rafael Benitez after turning on the former Valencia manager, according to reports.

Steven Gerrard, Fabio Aurelio and Javier Mascherano believe Benitez needs to be sacked after being frustrated with the lack of quality in the side.

An un-named source said: “Three Liverpool players are absolutely against Benitez to remain at the club.

“Aurelio, Mascherano and the skipper are unhappy with the team’s form this season and blame Benitez for it.

“Gerrard looked disinterested in training and Benitez had a go at him but Stevie wasn’t having any of it and the two aren’t currently talking.”

Mascherano is out suspended along with an injury while Aurelio has been dropped from the side after being kept out by Emiliano Insua.

Am i the only person who thinks Mourinho would be quality for Liverpool.

- He would show the passion the supporters show
- He would have the dressing room under control
- He has a hatred for Utd after being with Chelsea for so long
- He gets the job done
- Has a record for signing great players
- I may be wrong but i heard he used to support Liverpool when he was a boy
- We all know he wants to be back in the prem

Harry Redknapp:

"I'm a football manager – I wouldn't go out and get drunk, falling around and pulling some old slag. I'm not that stupid. Even if you wanted to do it, somebody would catch you out

I think egos play a big part here and by sticking to an opinion come hell or high water its looks like many are more about up holding reputation than actually making a heart felt expression of what is right way forward for the football club.

'Cos he hadn't yet heard it from his butcher's hairdresser's mate who passed Merrill Lynch in a taxi once, on the way back from an all night party, following 24 cans o' Special Brew....

Inter was already a good team when Mourinho arrived & Chelsea had bottomless pockets as you well know.

What will Liverpool have that Mourinho can work with? no money, tight- :censored: american owners who do give a squirt about the club & only a hand full of quality players.

:no  you need someone who can deal with the current situation & that's not Mourinho.
