I am undecided on whether Rafa should stay or go..
My main worry is that if you decide to get rid..
Who is a realistic replacement?
Who could do a better job?

The problem isn't us playing bad, I would argue that we technically haven't played all that bad in any of our games. Our season has come down to repeated mistakes by PLAYERS not Rafa. Not to mention the horrible form a lot of our players are in Gerrard has been nonexistent for the majority of the season even when he has been fit. Anyway, here are some examples.

Lyon, Anfield we couldn't manage to clear the ball after Reina made not one but two brilliant saves at point blank range and they equalize oh well we can draw we'll be okay. Oh wait lets let them score in the 90th minute after more bad defending, Rafa's fault.

Birmingham, Anfield we allow a goal on a set piece after wonderful defending by Rafa I mean our CBs, it's okay we're dominating play surely we'll score another to get the win. My mistake we forgot Birmingham had Cameron freaking Jerome, their version of Steven Gerrard scores a fluke goal, Rafa's fault.

Chelsea, Stamford Bridge we are playing what was one of our best games up until then imo but Masch decides to try to take on their whole team for some retarded reason, gives the ball away and it leads to a goal that we never recover from, Rafa's fault. Games against top teams like Chelsea are won and lost on mistakes like these.

Lyon, wherever they play, looking for a win we eventually score a late goal in Liverpool fashion, everyone is happy and it looks like our season is about to turn around, oh no our defense let them score a goal in added time. That's right Rafa substituted Torres too early, allowed them to push forward and told everyone on the field to give up possession and forget how to defend a lead with what, 6 minutes left?

Oh yeah lets not forget that awesome Balloon goal, I think I saw Rafa throw that onto the pitch too! The point is this season has been just off the charts crazy and I think it's premature to think about sacking Rafa when you consider all of the factors in our bad start. I would say one of the criticisms I have of Rafa that makes me worry at times is the players constant dips in form. It might just come down to man management who knows, I still believe it ultimately comes down to the player either way but you could argue Rafa's managing has something to do with it.

Yeah he has made mistakes and yes the squad isn't good enough but you look at the injuries we have had this season I'm sure you'll agree with a full or near full strength starting 11 our season would be completely different, give him until the summer than if we aren't in the top four come May then he'll be gone imo!

I don't know why we bother having a manager when all we need is a motivational speaker. We have won once in our last 10 games lost EIGHT games already this season and its all the players fault.

Someone makes a mistake before every goal mate, so why bother paying for a top manager, its never their fault.

He buys the players, trains the players, picks the players, decides on formations and tactics, decides who and when to substitute, and then when we win....... he is a genius, and when we lose...... its the players. He really must be a genius to get people to believe that

You're twisting my words but my mistake for trying to sound the way it came out, I don't mean it literally that everything is down to the players. All I'm saying is that a lot of this season has been out of Rafa's hands but he's getting ALL the blame for it. That's all I'm saying. The way I see it is that it is just too early for all of this talk about sacking and replacing him when you consider everything that has happened. I'm just trying to counter some of the anti's all over this board.

Okay, we have won once in our last 10 games lost EIGHT games already this season and its all Rafa's fault. Rafa buys the players, trains the players, picks the players, decides on formations and tacts and when we win its not because of Rafa and when we lose... Rafa's at it again. The media must be geniuses to make people believe that.

I'll admit this season is all but lost but at the same time people just need to take a step back a bit, wait till the end of the season or at least until people are fully fit to call for Rafa's head.

The excuses are coming thick and fast of course, but somewhat disappointingly my "Rafa is doing it on purpose to get rid of the owners innit" is steadfastly refusing to gather any momentum. I haven't given up hope yet that this one will come through on the rails, although it's definately got some ground to make up.

Fairly predictably, "it's the injuries" has now pulled a couple of lengths clear of "it's the owners", with "it's the players" still in touch in third. In the pack chasing in behind you've got "Primary targets", "it's Gerrards body language" and "it's the ref's". Held up at the back but looking like he's got a bit in hand is "we've just been unlucky", while after an early run "it's the beachball" seems to have gone lame and looks like he may not get another mention. Covered up at the back are "hands tied behind his back" and "we wuz sh!t when he arrived". "Five year plan" has gone lame and has been pulled up, but surely the darkest of dark horses is the one to have your money on. He hasn't raised a mention for a while now, but you can just make him out, sitting motionless at the back of the field. He's going to be the winner when the dust settles surely, "it's fecking Parry :angry:

I wasn't trying to twist your words Zidane , I was just trying to make a point, but I apologise if it came across that way.

I agree that its not all down to Rafa the players have hardly covered themselves in glory so far this season, but the buck always stops with the manager.

I also agree that we should wait till the end of the season before deciding on his future, although we can't allow this form to continue for too long.

because a real supporter would have the brain to realise what is really wrong at our club and it runs much deeper than the manager.

Also a real supporter didn't get carried away with our second place last season(prob like yourself who thought Benitez was the Bees Knees) and is now to fickle to see the big picture.

Ok I admit Benitez gets on my nerves at times but name me a man who will do a better job in this situation?

Yeah, this is completely off topic but even if we managed to play well toward the end of the season if we didn't make the top 4 I wouldn't want him back.. All the circumstances to me are a valid reason as to why we are where we are but to not recover and break into the top 4 is inexcusable. I still see us coming on late to catch the 3rd spot but like you said this form definitely can't keep going or he just might get the sack before season's end.

So who exactly behind the scenes makes him play 2 defensive MF home and away?
Who made him sell Keane after 6 months and leave us with the mouth watering prospect of bringing Voronin back to fill the void along with Ngog?
Who insisted he replaced Alonso with Lucas?
Who made him sell Bellamy and keep a :censored:

poor buy like Babel?
Who made him bring in the likes of Deggan, Dossena
Who made him buy a 20ml player who will miss at Least half the season?

And do me a favour, Dont cast up last seasons 2nd place!
it was achieved after 5 fkn years and a load of cash spent.
I expect us to be making the top 3 every season

Ive followed LFC through the good and bad times and Im still going,
Ive been lucky enough to see some great managers here
And believe me Rafa is NOT one of the greats!

If Daggers took over tomorrow he would improve things whatever was going on behind the scenes.
