if u ever need another reason to give him away that was it...couldn't cut the mustard in this league...lack of passion, poor concentration level, pathetic finishing skills...need I go on?  :veryangry

No not really. I don't think you will find many mate that think Babel should be here next season. The problem is who will buy him?

hopefully somebody like Lyon, PSG, or Werder Bremen.  Because of the drop in the value of the pound, we could sell him for the same amount of pounds that we paid for him, while the European buying club will buy with a 25% discount on what Ajax received.

seriously I couldn't care less who can we sell him to or for how much...he's a liability to us period!...not showing an ounce of passion or the ability to execute basic skill set for a player of his ability at this level all season long...I'll say let's get him off on loan for all I care  :no

That's because no one has the balls to get in his face. Arby maybe should have brought that up at the time.  :D

As many of you have mentioned is nice to watch the team as a whole had that mentality of fighting.

Arbeloa was one of the few that hadn't that intensity, and unfortunately Carraguer didn't control his emotions.

I don't think it was a particularly good game of us, because West Brom, have interesting players from mifield and on (except that Fortune who misses a lot), but they gave us too many gifts in defence. Too many. West Brom with a better defence should have 10 points more than Sunderland.

83 points, let it be 86 the next day.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

Babel has no heart whatsoever. He did played some nice game for us but it is time for him to move on. I was still consider to give him at least till next Jan but today's game had convince me he should leave as early as possible. He probably thinks he is much better than who he really is. The problem is he doesn't have the right mentality and never realize his own problem. Maybe too spoiled and only knows how to blame it on someone else. Just hope to at least get 8 to 9 million pounds for him. Factor into the deflated pounds, we might have lost half of the transfer fees when we first bought him.....

the deflating pound would actually work the other way around (as long as we sold him to Europe).

that makes two of us, joe (and very possibly the only two). his little jinking run that so nearly ended in a goal was almost like one of those youtube clips of him where he looks a good player. its a shame the keeper got his fingers to it but it was a nice little move from him.

I've stood by Babel and thought we would get the best out of him in a right-sided position. But i'm starting to loose faith (maybe he pennies dropped :p). That was a shcoking miss. He gave the ball away to many times and that isn't anything to do with his position. However, Lucas had what i think was his best game in our colours. I honestly do. He looked like he could do something today. We did enough, would have liked to see us trounce them but can't complain.
