I am currently putting in better performances than Babel in 5-a-side in hte Litherland boys' club on a Wednesday night.

Does Babel play in that? No wonder he looks fecked on a weekend when he comes on.

If he's been moaning we should have flogged him off as well the cheeky c... What is with these footballers, they don't get a game so they moan. Sell em all off and we'll try and win the title with a squad of 15, that's what I say.

It'd be far better if they just sat on their erse and weren't bothered about not playing wouldn't it.

DISCLAIMER- based on his perfromances, Babel doesn't deserve to play. He's not very good at left midfield, I think we've categorically proven that now. He isn't much better at right midfield either. Time will no doubt tell if he's any good up front. I have my doubts, but lets face it it would be really handy if he's actually quite good. You never know, we might need him soon.

He is nowhere near having the quality required to be a regular, but in the last two games he has enjoyed something of a purple patch and has done more to warrant inclusion in the starting line up at Pompey than either Kuyt, Riera or Babel has in the last couple of weeks.

He is a 100,000 times more dangerous than Kuyt on our right side.

lmfao at anyone rating Kuyt over Benayoun

I don't rate Benayoun or Kuyt but we have to make do until we can replace them.

Kuyt has been very poor for a while now and has actually hindered our attacking play rather than add to it.

Benayoun deserves to start based on his last few performances.

Knowing Rafa he won't drop Kuyt for some reason.  I just don't see how he can possibly justify starting him in every game.

It's laughable, it really is.

Er Yer OK.

Benayoun came on for Gerrard, looked really dangerous for about as long as Gerrard had been on the pitch before him, and then that threat dwindled as if it had never existed. I think Benayoun could work in the role Gerrard plays, behind Torres, but I'd rather have reliable Kuyt on the right than Benayoun who is unpredictable.

Who had the better game last night? Kuyt was steady with a decent performance, Benayoun shone for a short while as mentioned and had a decent enough game. Would be tight overall, Kuyt kept Cahill quiet from set pieces for starters.

what I didn't like when Benayoun first came on is thathe went to the right hand side, and kuyt when to play in the middle.

for me its a no brainer, and kuyt should stay on the right, with yossi through the middle.

I though Kuyts workrate last night was phenominal. and hats off to him.

The one thing I would say is that Kuyt offers half the amount of goal threat than Benayoun does, and I think on current form (bearing in mind kuyt hasnt scored since 8th November) I think Benayoun should definately play through the centre with kuyt on the right when gerrard is not playing (be it injury/rest etc)

The right hand side of our team is a bad joke, opposition left backs wont get a more comfortable match all season then when they come up against Liverpool.

If we are keeping our formation the same while SG is out and we most probably will with our options upfront (loves options our manager) I think we should play yosi behind Torres, I think the lad would love the chance he`s been one of our better players recently when given the nod often giving us a much needed cutting edge, he`d give us much more threat in that possition than Kuyt and is probably closer to his natural game than playing down the right.
Deserves his chance IMO.
