Obama been to a few West ham games over the years, its was only when he started running did anyone take notice of him.

sad to say that years ago Bush was at a Liverpool game.

WestHam have gone backwards thisseason, not as good as they used to be but what do you expect with a Liverpool reject like Bellamy, I expect him to adopt his usual formation whci he always held at Anfield, i.e be offside all the bloody time!

Up the Irons - Barack Obama is West Ham fan

The key question hagning over Barack Obama's White House credentials has been answered - the Democrat has been revealed to be a West Ham United fan.

As the 46-year-old's campaign to become America's first black president moves into overdrive, Obama has declared his fondness for the Claret and Blues quarter of east London.

According to reports, the US senator has been a fan of the Hammers ever since a trip to England five years ago and watches Premier League games whenever his busy schedule allows.

Obama's revelation could stir up tensions with Democrat rival Hillary Clinton further as the 60-year-old and her husband Bill are keen Manchester United followers.

Mr Obama has joined a host of world figures to nail their colours to the mast by revealing his passion for his adopted club.

Number 10 Downing Street has seen it's fair share of football fanatics - once the removal vans confirmed Margaret Thatcher's departure.

John Major was a Chelsea supporter long before Roman Abramovich's riches arrived at Stamford Bridge before Tony Blair arrived waving his Newcastle scarf from the roof tops.

And what of the current incumbent, Gordon Brown? The PM has not forgotten his roots and remains dedicated to Scottish outfit Raith Rovers.

In fact the former Chancellor made his early pennies by selling programmes for the team in his youth.

I never understand West Ham, for years they have had a good team on paper but not done much.

if you look at the players they have had at the club over the years, if they had the money to keep them they could have been a top 4 side long ago.

thats why you can spot a West Ham fan from miles off.....its the look of pain on their face lol
