I'm sorry but this whole thing has been dragging me down for months. It seems every time we get close to a resolution I go onto www.newsnow to see that Hicks has released another statement saying he has no intention of selling. I hate the fact that I find myself trawling through one forum or another (this is by far and away the best by the way) looking for hope. I'm looking for the golden sky but I'm still not optimistic.

Until I see the 'American's agree to sell' on the BBC website I'm afraid I'll take everything I hear with a pinch of salt. Fingers crossed, that day might not be too far away though.

This is the BBC World Service, for the benifit of inglis5's sanity, the americans have sold the club. I hope this helps you sleep tonight.   :D

Thank god for that!  :D

(and thank you ste123lfc, I'll certainly sleep easier tonight)

And... here I am at 8.16 checking again. Bugger  :)

The difference this time is that the Americans will be offering equity in Liverpool FC  rather than just looking for loans. Again, intriguingly, London PR giants Freud Communications, hired by Hicks at the height of his civil war with Gillett last season, are representing both Americans.

Daily mail online

Stubborn kunts!
When are they just gonna admit they cant afford it,no one wants to give them a loan and no one wants them near the Fu*king club!

No financial expert but does'nt offering equity mean they are prepared to bring in other "investors" and offer them a share in the club?
They have no shame!
I dont understand why they still want the club. They are so hated they cant even come near the ground cause they'd probably get murdered...why would anyone want to own a club were all the fans despise them with a passion? The thing is though all they had to do from the start was be honest and fulfill their promises.
Its about time Parry stopped sucking their co'cks.I know it will never happen but I would love to see him,Rafa and anyone else thats important enough and even some of the players come out publicly and say things are'nt working and are never gonna work and its in the clubs best interest for them to sell!

I am no legal expert so LFC 2007 will be a better one to explain it , but I think its a mortgage against Liverpool fc, and if they default, Lfc can be repossessed by the banks in just the same way that a house is repossessed by a building society. I think its a direct act of surety against Liverpool fc rather than an indirect act which all the previous loans will have been.

In other words, the banks would have looked first to Hicks and Gillett's assets if they failed to pay the loans, now they will be looking first at Liverpool fc if Hicks and Gillett fail to pay the interest.

That financial fella on RAWK has said they will be now offering shares in the club thus diluting their own.

Who the feck would want to go in buisness with these pair of tw@ts?

I think this is probably a more accurate explanation from Rawk :-

Why do you assume that the stadium will be entirely paid for through loans?  A good chunk will be from equity financing which will be from advanced receipts of stadium sponsorship (a new revenue source so will have no detrimental impact on on going working capital requirements), deposits from advanced sales of corporate seats and possible deposits on pre-sales of the anfield plaza development.

The one key period the club have to ensure they get absolutely correct is the period of construction and the cash management over that period.  Once the stadium opens the strain on the clubs finances will reduce greatly.

As I keep banging on about, for Hicks'/Gilletts numbers to add up the stadium must be built, they won't make anything if the stadium isn't built, or atleast started if they sell up prior."

                       ------------------------------------

In other words mortgaging Liverpool fc's future and future sources on income :(

Qatar Sheikh in Everton Buyout

One of the richest and wealthiest Sheikhs from the Middle East has expressed his interest in Everton Football Club.

Sheikh N Vak is the son of Sheikh Yer Booty one of the richest familys in Qatar.

The Sheikh made his fortune by putting The Freshness Back into our carpets in the 80's.

They also plan to build a 90,000 seat stadium on the hallowed Stanley Park, where Evertons bitter rivals planned to build their own stadium.

Sheikh N Vak has said the 90,000 seater will be named WE'RE NOT GOING TO KIRKBY it will have 4 stands named IFITHADNERBINFERHEYSEL Park end,
The PIER LUIGI COLLINA street end,
THE BABY'S NOT YOURS will be on the Bullens Road,
THE BITTER MONGRELS Main stand

The Sheik has also been intouch with some of the worlds leading experts on grass to ask them to come up with a formula to be the first team in the world to play on blue grass.
To match the blue gravel at the side of the pitch.

On selling the club Bill lovey Kenwright has said "Today marks a milestone, I had to do what is best to move the club forward, I am broken hearted this hurts as much as my last episode in Coronation Street".

Manager David Moyes responded with "This is a magnificent bitter club, we will now have to start using sun tan lotion factor 50 now we are no longer in the shadow of our bitter rivals.

We would have won the world Cup, The league, The Champions League if ithadnerbinferheyselclivethomasclattenburgandthefatspanishwaiter" We are the best team on Merseyside, Ive refused a part in the up coming film "The Lord Of The Rings" och aye it was a canny offer but I will remain at the peoples club.

Ex manager Howard Kendall had a few words to say "Pour me*Hick* another whiskey" Kendall rejoyced at the news.
