BTW I agree with Karhaz about DIC screwing up in not buying us the first time around, they must bitterly regret not being a bit tougher back then becuase it will now cost them a lot more money if they want LFC. Good businessmen I don't think  :no

If Hicks and Gillett deliver us another big name signing in this tranfer period then I expect peoples attitudes will start too change a bit, they've already given us Torres and Mascherano, not too bad really.

Don't get me wrong I don't like either of them but I think we have to start getting used to them as they me around for a while, and yes I know I have changed my tune but I was expecting to hear something before now  :sniffle

Heimdall no offence but your norweigen ofcourse a groundshare wouldnt bother you, would you share with United?

And my opinion will never change even if we signed kaka and Messi, they havent paid for torres or Masch the banks have the pair of them have invested in total 20 million each and that is to buy the club and players.  I could have bought Liverpool the way them two have.

I hate these kunts and wants them to sell up and I never want to hear about them ever again.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

No, as I think I stated, it's NOT ideal but if it's the only way we get a bigger stadium and thereby more money then it has to be done. Do you guys really see us getting a new stadium all to ourselves anytime soon with Hicks and Gillett in charge becuase I certainly don't.

Oh and Ciggy, offence taken but don't worry, I'm getting used to small minded attitudes on this forum by now.

Go back to the beginning and read up the facts regarding DIC bid they made the offer it was accepted deal done on a hand shake and then they were in what you called property terms :censored: gazumted.  They were betrayed by Moores and Parry for a few dollars more . Im suprised there still around wanting to buy us , after what they done .

As far as groundsharein goes not a chance will i share my seat with a bitters

Yes nanny but in property terms if you get gazzumped then all you need to do is offer evenmore yourself then you still get the property, why didn't DIC do that, something very weird happened and if DIC weren't willing to cough up the extra money back then thenthey were proud idiots. After they bought the club they could have gotten rid of Parry and Moores is muppet anyway so who cares. Now they will have to pay a lot more moeny for the club, that is bad business.

It has to be done? Go down the Sandon and spout that bollox, see what you get.

Imagine it:

"Welcome to Kerby Park on this glorious European night. Here we have have Liverpool vs AC Milan. The atmosphere would be electric in here, but it seems that they forgot to include the famous Kop end to suit the blue half of Mersyside. We'd love to get the game underway, but Everton were playing the night before, and the ground staff are still busy cleaning up the sh*t from the stands, and the Tesco bags blowing all over the pitch."

Heimdall, we will get our new stadium, maybe not when we were promised, maybe not quite what we were promised and maybe not with the present owners. BUT WE WILL GET IT. Its just too good a business opportunity to not become reality, plus the financial pressures will eventually force whoever owns us to increase capacity and thereby revenue.

The worry is that by the time we do get it, we will probably be in even greater debt, and most of the increased revenue will be used to service debt for the forseeable future rather than funding team building.

As Doc Holliday said ...... I'm in my prime  :D

I think it has to be built soon Nanny, even the two clowns will see that! I think that may be why they are hanging around now, get the stadium built, get the money to service the debt rolling in and then sell at a huge profit.

Thats if the two clowns can raise the money, if not I think they will have to sell sooner rather than later.

If they were to construct the best stadium in the country without compromise, I would be prepared to at least consider it.

But I cant see them building such a stadium, it would be no more than marginally better than what we could construct on our own and therefore of no credible benefit to the club, our team or our culture. better to stay independant.

To think, if the Yanks kept their promise of "a spade in the ground" within 60 days, then the stadium would have been half  built by now. Next year, our players could have been walking out onto the new Anfield.

Stadiums do take a while to build.  (Once ground is actually broken, but yet that still hasn't happened -_-)

Take a look at this one, stadium (might want to mute your speakers, annoying Texan talking), i hate this team, but it's absolutely beautiful.  And will be ready to be played on in 2010, and the biggest event held in America will be played in 2011.  They broke ground in 05/06.  Holds 80,000 ,it's actually quite insane.

They should call it the Cow Bowl.

Looks good but why do they have a huge video screen on the outside, bit weird.

Anyway here's hoping we can get our own ground but whatever happens we need to get the increased revenues from a bigger stadium one way or the other, that is all I'm saying.

BTW Do we assume that the DIC bid is finally over now, I find it strange that there is still no word as I thought the veto right of Hicks ran out in May.
