Parry should have been sacked a long time ago but his time will come eventually.

I have always liked David Moores. Im not 100% of the reasons behind why he sold to the Americans over DIC but ordinarily he has always worked with good intentions. Anyway its too late to ask these questions now.

So where now? Whats the next step? I havent heard a peep out of the DIC camp for a while. I know they say no news is good news but in our case it probably means the opposite.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Im a depressing realist sometimes - I just cant see DIC getting involved yet.

They are no mugs, and I dont think they willl look at our current situation and
thnk it's a viable business option at the moment.

I think they'll wait till this credit crunch hits the Americans even harder - and the Yanks
might well end up running to DIC with a more reasonable offer.
That may be in another 12 months. :(

Matt McQueen - Liverpool 1892-1928.
Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

At the end of this month the clause in the contract apparently expires which entitles Hicks with first refusal in purchasing Gilletts share of the club!

So if this is true in theory,Gillett can sell his half to who he wants. If DIC still want it he can sell it to them!

TBPH i dont know who to believe or what to think anymore. There has been so many rumours and so many lies and so much sh'ite its impossible to predict what is going to happen!

For what its worth im still cagey in my opinion about the very public fall out between them both.Maybe im too sceptical but I am not sure anymore that i actually belive that G&H have fallen out.Two very smart men and thick as thieves as well. For all we know this could have all been planned some time ago.

They know and have known DICs desire to buy LFC.It would make sense on their part to split ranks, play the good and bad guy!
DIC will pay more to get Gillett out in purchasing half the club in the hope they can force Hicks out eventually. If Hicks stays stubborn and holds on he will force more money out of DIC because they will want total control of the club.Partnerships rarely work,it takes longer to get things done especially when the parties in question live thousands of miles apart.
Maybe im just paranoid, but one things for sure I smell a rat,in fact i think i smell two,and all is not what it seems from the outside looking in!

I think Gillett will sell his half at end of the month or shortly after,Hicks will hold on a while playing Mister Stubborn while proclaiming his love for LFC,putting LFC shirts on his kids, and making promises about an imaginary stadium that wont happen.
After a while he will"reluctantly" sell his part of the club to DIC at an inflated rate, more than its worth to him!

And then the two cowboys go whistling dixie back to Texas holding hands, sipping bourbon and patting eachother on the back, with a hell of a lot more dollars in the bank than they put into our club!

Maybe im wrong and full o :censored: though!!

I dont really understand the guys that wanted to buy the club with fans all chipping in,nice idea in a perfect world but in reality we dont live in a perfect world!

Surely it would be cheaper to just pay a hitman to execute the both of them!
That guy out of Leon would do it for a few grand and a crate of milk! :;):

If Hicks does have first refusal, what is stopping him from buying only some of Gillette's shares to the point where he has the majority and then letting Gillette sell the rest to DIC?

Because he is playing the I want all of LFC card!
Even if he did own say 60% and someone else the rest that is not total control!
He cares no more about owning LFC than i do about the political situation on Mars,he cares about dollars and as soon as enough are on the table he'll be off as quick as he appeared!

I dont think so. He isnt getting any younger and must no doubt be thinking of his children, grand children by investing in the club. He wants total control. By my reckoning nothing wrong with that, but for the club to make money they have to, as the saying goes, spend it to make it. If hicks does take total control and the club has huge success then sure he will be making the money, but in another light, the club will be winning big things and successful. This shared arrangement is not doing the club any favours. We need just one owner. Its looks more likely to be one of the yanks rather than DIC. One of the two has to give sooner or later then maybe, just maybe things will look a bit rosier.

A heart of gold he has!
