woof woof ! wrote:Hicks is also alleging that Parry was fully supportive of their proposal to approach Klinsman behind Rafa's back  . Thats something I was unaware of and if true Parry can f'uck off right now ! . Never been impressed with the fella but always thought he was a fairly straight forward sort, until today !

Didn't Parry say in his interview yesterday (one of those posted above, I believe) that he was hoodwinked by H & G in that he was invited to a meeting with Klinsmann but wasn't told what would be discussed?  We might have a case of two competing and unverifiable versions of the same event here. ???

Well whichever way you look at it, these two clowns have to go. Hicks was never going to succeed in his ridiculously transparent attempts to win the fans over "If I buy the club rafa gets a new contract, we build a big stadium and we're the number one club in the World again" etc etc. Not only does he want to rape the club of it's values, tradition, ethics and history, he wants to line his own pockets and treat the fans like fecking monkeys as well. That was never going to work and he needs to rethink his PR strategy.

The only part of his statement which has any resonance or relevance is the bit where he casts a new light on Gillet, the little fecker who by hook or by crook has managed to put himself in a slightly better light these last two weeks. FWIW if I was in the trenches I'd want them both in front of me where I could see them, plus the fact that if Hicks got popped you could set up camp behind the fat c..., but I was beginning to think that Gillet might be actually not so odious after all. There is always the possibility of course that Hickl's account maybe complete b0ll0cks, and that gillet is being unfairly tainted, but it's too much of a chance to take. Feck him, Hicks can go take a running feck to himself and he can take the dwarfy little sl@g with him while he's at it.

Spot on from Armin off RAWK.

It's way beyond that point. Anyone thinking that's going to happen doesn not understand the fanbase and the depth of feeling involved. There's no way back for Hicks or Gillett in the same way that there's no way back for the Sun or Mackenzie. A line has been crossed for too many people and there's simply no way back. Anyone advising Hicks otherwise is doing him a disservice. Simply put theres's no player signing, trophy, yes including the league, or executive decision which is going to make Hicks or his partner acceptable owners of Liverpool FC. They will never regain what they've lost and again, anyone who tells them otherwise is either ignorant or seeking to further their own cause.

There's no strategy, PR triumph or puff piece going to change peoples opinions and the current owners will never realise the full value of their investment because their very presence will prevent the club from realising its potential. The sooner this message transmits itself from Anfield to Texas the better for all concerned.

Hicks Leaked Info To Klinsmann, Rafa Furious
Rafa Benitez will reportedly confront Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks after it came to light that the American has maintained contact with Jurgen Klinsmann

It is believed that Klinsmann’s representatives contacted Liverpool in order to warn them that the ex-Germany striker had got wind of Benitez’s transfer schemes.

The Merseyside club were shocked when they discovered that someone had supposedly sought Klinsmann’s opinion regarding at least one possible target they had been tracking.

This information will surely infuriate Rafa Benitez, who has been alerting Hicks via private emails of his transfer plans as Liverpool prepare to launch into the summer market, and he will want an explanation as to why the former Tottenham star had been contacted at all.

Repercussions

Klinsmann was interviewed in November as a candidate to succeed Benitez, who was in the midst of a public dispute with Hicks and his policies at the time.

Now Klinsmann is in line to take the reigns from Ottmar Hitzfeld next season at Bayern Munich, and information of this sort being leaked to one of Liverpool’s stronger competitors in the transfer market could be very damaging to the Reds’ hopes of securing their preferred targets this summer.

Control

It has been a turbulent week at Anfield, after Hicks asked Liverpool CEO Rick Parry to resign, sending shockwaves through Merseyside amid the celebrations of Tuesday’s thrilling Champions League victory over Arsenal.

This is just the latest development in Hicks’ attempt to secure sole executive control of the club, following his falling out with co-owner George Gillett and his deflections of Dubai Investment Capital’s efforts to mount a takeover bid.

Rafa Refusal, Revival

Benitez refused to comment on the matter ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Blackburn Rovers at Anfield today.

Despite a substandard patch of league form that sees his side occupying fourth spot in the table, Benitez has won over many sceptical fans in recent months due to Liverpool’s continued dominance in Europe, as they prepare to face Chelsea in the Champions League semi-finals in two weeks’ time.

Many of Rafa’s supporters are adamant that he should distance himself from Hicks’ regime, as most Liverpool fans seem to prefer the prospect of Gillett selling his majority stake in the club to DIC.

GOAL.COM

Radio 5 live said that Rafa found out about this on Friday and was banned from talking to the press for 48 hours.
