Hicks will only take notice when Carlsberg express their concerns directly to the club, when stadium-name sponsers offer 20 million less than was budgetted for due negative publicity and players start to find themselves not being approached by the money bags.

YES - no pain, no gain.

Boycotts wont achieve anything, you have to raise the game to Hicks´ level and impact his wallet. Negative publicity through radio phone-ins, letters to the national media etc.. Protests at games is fine as it will keep the pressure on but it cant be the main form of attack. Protests at CL games away from home to attract foreign media attention.

Haven't  Carlsberg already agreed to their sponsorship for the next few years and paid for it ? if this is the case then this will have no impact with tom. However i agree that the last thing he wants now is bad publicity , and the boycott of just one game would bring bad publicity to a whole new level for poor ole tom

of course, it's easy to give examples when I'm not the one involved in organising it all :p

All these will hurt the players, the club and the manager you are trying to protect. Just cheer the team and isolate the guys till they feel really neglected and unwanted. For me they have given the manager enough support, bar the klinsman issue, and hope it continues into the summer.

YOU are not even worth wasting my breath on

ha ha .who cares.

If the Fans have already "speak out" and DIC have already try to buy plus his $25M extra but he still want to stay. Again like I say now is players turn to "speak out" who they want.

And even if the players said they want DIC , and if Hicks still NOT quiting, the whole team must take actions against Hicks by NOT Playing the match on the match day. FA will fine the club, hicks have to pay the club.

But do this when we are confirm in CL next season.

Boycotts are the wrong way to go imo, would give us awful media coverage etc. - just not worth the hassel really!

Just start off not buying any club merchandise, or a program, or any food from the shop. Tell all your friends not to do so, and word qill quickly catch on, and trust me, that'll do Hicks major damage!

Todays ECHO:

Mar 11 2008

A SPOKESPERSON for Tom Hicks said today:

"With regard to a report in today's Liverpool Echo claiming that "talks between [Tom Hicks] and Dubai International Capital collapsed after the Dubains proposed putting a fans representative on the Anfield board," I can confirm after consultation with Mr. Hicks and his representatives at the meetings with DIC that at no time during any such meetings did DIC propose, nor did Mr. Hicks or his representatives reject, any such proposal."

Hicks and Gillette obviously dont get on and their spats this season has ruined any chance of a push on the prem and has gone some way to make rafa look dodgy when in some way he is the victim of the two twerps. not agreeing to give rafa more money for players in jan goes some way to prove it. rafas no mug and the yanks clearly had plans to kick him out at the end of the day if Hicks can only just afford his share of the club then it will be a matter of time for him to realise he has to sell. when some stories are saying DIC will own the club by this summer they must be confident that by making an offer now  a second offer in the summer is likely to be accepted considering the debt Hicks is racking up. whether he sells to to DIC is another story. they will try and play DIC off against another potential buyer in order to get the maximum return on their LFC investment.

why punish the players ? this needs keeping off the field.

i agree (for now) - but points one and two are easy possibilities that won't affect the players.

from soccernet:

Hicks is now believed to be looking for other buyers in the United States for Gillett's shares, while DIC are remaining confident that there will be more talks soon.

But they have not set out a timescale and aim to sit back now and see how the current situation - and Hicks' attempts to raise £300m for the new stadium - pans out.

any word on who in the US he is looking at? Jones, Snyder, Stienbrener, Cuban?

tom hicks is one of these clowns who can't see he should take the money and run.
this loser seems to have popped up out of nowhere just as liverpool was about to go super large with a hand over to DIC.I'm sure there are a few conspriracy theories out there out there .

if this guys is not a plant and for real then i expect he will be gone within a year after realising nobody is going to pay a billion for liverpool without him buying the biggest superstars in the world.he will then have to go begging DIC to buy liverpool.

this guy is getting in the way of my club going on a super charge.
i hope this has not deflated the big time hopes of certain players in the team.
that idiot thinks the news he is staying is some sort of boost before this big game...what deluded idiot.

No American with half a brain would look to invest in a football club at the moment, not with the negative publicity and also the fact that the US is already slipping into a recession. No sorry Mr Hicks its DIC or nothing I'm afriad, time to stop being a d1ckhead and sell the club to the nice Arabs.  :rasp  :wwww

There are ways in which to protest and get the message across other than abandoning the team during games.

For one, don't buy any kits, merchandise etc etc. Think about it. Adidas pays the club a massive chunk and so do Carlsberg. Not buying  kits alone would put a dent in Hicks' wallet. It has to be from day one of the new kit's release.

Also, turn up outside the ground about an hour before. 30,000+ fans all with pickets and banners singing songs protesting against the fat b@stard before turning in and going into the ground to support the team, where the protests continue at half time and then again after the whistle.

If all else fails: nuke Texas.
