Sounds like you need a couple of bottles of brown ale there, Nanny.

If you´re going to cabbage your head you may as well do it on brown ale and not worrying about G&H.

What i cant fathom about this is why when they were gonna buy us in the beginning for 250 mill are they willing to pay 350-400 million or what ever one year later and why would they want to be the minor share holder who has the money with that :censored: Hicks who has none. ME heads going round and round here   :suspect:

I think the deal was done days ago and Dic will be the majority holders of our club. We just need the big Mo to sign on the dotted line

Shiekh Hamdan will be in England on Tuesday, I know he is famous for his flat horses but he always attends the Cheltenham Festival with his mate Bin Suroor  and that starts then so im keeping my fingers crossed we hear good news round that time with a nice press confrence and a little visit off him up the motorway

Liverpool peace deal given the go-ahead
By David Bond

The battle for control of Liverpool took a tentative but significant step towards a peace deal last night as Dubai International Capital and the club's co-owner Tom Hicks said they were heading for a new partnership agreement to end the uncertainty surrounding the future of Anfield.

At the end of another week of tense negotiations, senior executives at DIC yesterday gave their blessing to a power sharing arrangement with Hicks which would allow him to retain majority control of the club.

At the end of another week of tense negotiations, senior executives at DIC yesterday gave their blessing to a power sharing arrangement with Hicks which would allow him to retain majority control of the club.

Under the terms of the deal, which is set to be discussed by senior officials from both sides at a meeting in Dubai next week, DIC would buy 49 per cent of the club's shares from George Gillett Jr. Hicks would then buy the remaining one per cent of his American partner's stake to give him a 51 per cent holding.

Although Hicks first made the proposal for the partnership nine days ago in a 60-page shareholder agreement emailed to DIC's lead negotiator Amanda Staveley, it is the first time DIC have stated publicly they would be prepared to share ownership of Liverpool in this way.

Last night Staveley, a senior partner at DIC's advisers, the private equity firm PCP Capital Partners, said: "Subject to renegotiation of a partnership agreement and subject to the usual stringent minority shareholder protection rights we would be prepared to accept a 49 per cent shareholding in Liverpool FC.

"We have decided that this arrangement provides the best possible solution to the situation and would be in the best interests of the club and their loyal fans."

A source for Hicks confirmed that he and DIC were prepared to work together to end the stalemate which has created so much instability at Anfield in recent months. But he stressed that DIC were just one of a number of potential investors he was talking to about buying out Gillett on those terms.

With Gillett stalling on a deal, the pressure is now on him to agree to the offer made to him by DIC last week, which could be worth a staggering £170m. That price includes £90m to cover his share of Liverpool's £350m of debts, £60m in cash and a further £20m based on the completion of the club's new stadium at Stanley Park.

S@int your sick of a roller coaster ride, I'm sick of ignorance.  I always expected this of MAN U fans but I believed with LFC's history we were different, but in effect there are people here who would sell their soul to the devil for a premiership win. If they think thats what LFC is about then stuff them. Stick your responses here, you ignorant prentencious, artificial fans. You care nothing about a peoples club. You sicken me and I believe your attitude would sicken the guts out out of a wee ayrshire miner who build your fuc*ing dreams on the back of his honesty, compassion, commitment and loyality.  he walked out Of Liverpool because his working class roots were more important to him than the club, the truth is his working class roots, his belief is social justice were the basis of the club.  The boot room staff that followed and delivered his philosophy were another two wee working class men who would like Bill Shankly turn in there graves to hear LFC fans talk about dictators taking over the club. You so called fans that dare to mention Shankly's name and yet at the same time, berate Rafael Benitez would cause the wee man to choke and puke. You sound like a BUNCH OF fuc*ing MANCS. I've came back on here to enjoy this forum to reason with you in the hope the you would reason with me but you dont. Fu*k you all. Walk around the outside of Anfield witness the disolation, see the despair and deprivation that surrounds Liverpool, step into the Hillsbrough justice centre. Soak in the truth about how money and mans fu*king greed with big business can steal away the innocent lives of 96 human beings.

Are you all so fu*king stupid or so up your own ars*s that you forget were we have come from. Have you forgot what fu*king lies the government and the establishment here in this country has caused .  Ruppert Murdock sh*tes on the club with his rag that lies he seeks to destroy us.  With Dic so many of you are willing to sell your soul to another fu*king tyrant that subjugates his own people and has perhaps been responsible for the deaths of more than our immortal 96.  Shame on you, double shame on you, glory hunting bastad=rds.  Before you sign your soul over to the devil dig a little deeper.  Hicks and Gillett are sh*t but I still rather have that than another tyranical Bast*ard

I'd be happy with a power-sharing deal as long as things settled down for a while.

Work on the new stadium must start as quickly as possible.

Besides, Arsenal are owned by different groups, so I don't see why it can't work for us.

Easy big guy, you been on the source this evening? That's a bit strong. I wasn't aware the Arabs had a reputation for tyrancy or a questionable human rights record or anything like that? I don't think many others on here are either. They're just sick of Hicks and Gillette and would take just about anybody as an alternative is all.

I and everybody else on this forum want the best for this club and that means getting a cash injection which is what DIC will give us.
I sense that you don't like Arabs, any particular reason?

Influence more than money cost the lives of the 96. As for the rest of your rant, you seem to be trying too hard because your a long term member of this forum that you have been a supporter of the mighy reds for so long it is your right to dismiss others opinions, let me tell you, you cant. It doesnt matter how long you have been a member of this forum all that matters is the show of support for the club. My advice to you would be this.

Cut out the beer.

Get laid.

Have a cigarette.

Then maybe just maybe we wont have to hurt our eyes witnessing yet another drunken rant from your good self.

Scottbot, google UAE human rights and you'll get the picture DIC is a member of the united arab emirates and as such the human rights iisues are the responsibility of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.  Who is president and in effect ruler.  I'm sick of f*cking idiots talking about this with no knowledge.  When Thaksin wanted the club the BBC ran the story and many fans changed their minds.  I am disgusted that no television news programme has investigate or ran the story. UAE is another Saudi fiefdom who no one wnats to offend with the truth.  They can build fu*king mountains in the desert but they now wnat LFC and thas serious to me.
