Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We have been playing like this in the last 7 games or so, it explains that there is a huge problem, and this problem should be fixed sooner rather than later.

Rafa should stay until the end of the season, but if we keep continuing like that, then yes he has to go.

Not only that, but we are possible the most predictable team around.

yes and thats why we are easy to stop.  our attacks to me are just hopeful attempts hoping something will happen or the opposition will make a mistake.  There is nothing there which makes things happen.

And.....drumroll please...............

The cause of our wonderful predictability is the great tactics and one or two useless players who could move a ball forward if their lives depended on it.

I don't pretend to understand this run of dire performances, far from it, but I don't believe changin the manager will alter anythin at this stage of the season. The yanks don't care who runs the club so long as theres bums on seats and scarves round necks. Alot of the players look like they're not bothered so long as the pay keeps comin. The answers Rafa's givin aint blind, he's keepin as much as possible behind closed doors and maybe makin himself look stupid.

Make no mistake, these players aint mugs (no, not even Kuyt for the doubters!!) but they're takin liverpool FC for mugs. Rafa can't MAKE them play well, he can only direct them.....they've gotta feel ashamed of their performances to make them improve, and right now i don't see shame in there.

Yes maybe Crouch should play ahead of Kuyt, but will one man make that much difference to that performance?

CL places are still up for grabs, money is available (alledgedly) for the summer. I don't believe Babel was a waste of money, but he's not ready for EPL yet. Kuyt makes enough off the ball work to free others up but other than Torres and Gerrard who's scorin goals? And don't mention Yossi's hat-trick, that don't really count. Crouch gets more than Kuyt but does that really justify a startin place for a player that has a job winnin headers startin at 6'7"?

I agree we spent fairly big in the summer, but we started spendin way behind the likes of manx and chelsea, so we've maybe gotta catch up there too. Lets face it, up to 15million is barely considered big money these days, ffs spurs jus paid 9 mill for Alan Hutton!!

Rafa aint completely to blame, of that I'm certain, sackin the guy will merely put us back another 3 years. I for one, don't want that.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

problem is though our wide players are useless

i wouldnt play any of them...kewell no, pennant no,benayoun wide no, babel doesnt look natural out wide

benayoun is better through the middle and still then struggles to have impact against the better teams

I don't think removing him will solve the problem, only temporarily relieve the pressure off the players. The team overall is not as good as we may think, that will not change without major money. Playing Couch from the start would have maybe given us a goal, but not revitalized the team. the problems are deeper.

Today's result has nothing to do with money.  The players play like they just don't give a sh!t.  There is obviously a major problem between the manager and the players.  I hate to say it but it looks like these results will continue and Rafa will be gone.

That's the sadest thing
If it was just one lost
I can soon get over it
but looking at our poor performance recently
I'm really worried :(

cant believe people blaming the players

rafa brought these guys in

look at man utd.......fergie brings them in and improves them

arsenal bring players in and turn them into great players

rafa brings them in and no1 improves under rafa, they all get progressively worse under rafa

I've being saying that all along.  But if what the others have said is true ie "Rafa saying "that's it" then I guess we can expect news in the morning.

If the players arn't trying...... drop them. The problem is when he drops them they don't know if its because they are playing bad or its just rotation.

All of you are going to be shocked when the truth comes out and thats all I am saying.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
