One way or another, the whole bloody lot of 'em should have just kept this idiocy out of the press. Airing our dirty laudry like that....
Fools, the lot of 'em.
I think this article gets close to the crux of the matter, why have no reassurances been given out about Rafa's future. Even a quick throwaway line from Parry denying any knowledge of plans to sack Rafa would be better than nothing. If Rafa's future rests on the one match against Marseille something is very wrong with our owners. Even the bitterest anti-Rafa brigade members would reserve judgement until the summer surely?
Even the most beleaguered managers usually get a vote of confidence and a few games to get things right. What the hell is Parry doing besides shopping for new ties?

Since then everybody in the press have taken what he said and blown it all up and its just snowballed into more and more rubbish with every tom dick and harry having there own theory on what it means for liverpool fc as a whole and everyone jumping on the bandwagon as to columnists own theories by simply quoting a remark from rafa while adding there own opinion before rafas quote to make it seem totally different to what rafa actually meant. Then the tv news got suckered into believing the rubbish they were writing by hanging outside anfield with headlines like "BREAKING NEWS AFTER THE BREAK" and after the break the big news was well there isnt any. Without a doubt, the tabloids really do control what people believe.

Maybe he hasn't received a reassurance because his position never was in danger. FWIW, it may be perfectly possible that the only thing that has happened has been a little discussion and a harsh statement about focusing into pitch matters, and talk about transfers later.
Maybe, all the talk about Rafa's days being counted was rubbish after all, we all know that the press don't need much to make up a lot of things.
FWIW, the best thing to do for the owners is just keeping silent in the press and improve communication with Rafa. Why? because right know we have a massive support for Rafa from the fans (even the antiRafa's), we have a squad that seems be getting on the right track, and we have a focused manager. We might be reinforced after all this "fight" after all. Bring on Bolton, then let's win in Reading, that's what we Rafa and everybody must think about now. Let the press talk.

How hard would it be to stop all the rumours though ? All it would take would be a short statement from Parry and the press would be all round Redknapps house instead of lined up outside Anfield.
Because suddenly everybody is marching for Rafa, stopping the criticism on rotation (except our friend Bigmick) and stick together. If we end the controversy right now everybody will come back to the old moanings!

A siege mentality is the best. It works for Man Utd.
