I notice that you have protested in this thread about your time going the match before you left in discussons with Murphy0151.

Well this quote clearly shows that you might as well have lived on the moon for the last fifty years as live in asia for the last whatever.

No logic, reason, clue, knowledge, brain nothing used or required for you to post that.

I'm worried. I have been off the boards for a while now....no offence to anyone but the forum degenrated into a fight most of the time. Same on this thread I notice.....anyway I am pretty worried about this. Rafa is acting like a spoilt child and not for the first time.....I think he might get the big heave ho...won't happen til teh end of teh season though and that is when Mourinho can come and manage in the premiership again...who knows?

March 2009 is when Mourinho's gardening leave in his pay off expires.

Copied this post from the echo,(sorry for cheating) can someone tell me if this lads post is true or way off the mark im not good with money(only know how to spend it)

Who is the better businessman the yanks or rafa.Since he arrived at the club he has spent 127 mill on players but recouped 57mill by selling, that leaves a net of 70 million spent,He earned the club about 80 mill by getting them to two CL finals,so that means its cost him minus 10 million to build an excellent team unbeaten in the league so far this season.
He wants to sell carson for 10 mill a player that cost 750,000 sell siissoko for 10mill who cost 5.6mill crouch for 10 mill that cost 7 mill and risse for 4 mill bringing in 34mill.He is asking to buy a central defender for 10 mill a striker for 8 mill and most importantly mash for 17 mill this is a player thats worth over 30 mill,in total these players will cost 35 million, this means he is asking the yanks to put there hands in there pockets and pull out one million, which they will also get back because they are saving money on not paying wages on surplus players.Know wonder rafa is furious, the yanks should be on the first plane to liverpool with a blank cheque kissing his feet and saying we are not worthy we are not worthy. The man is a genius he has built a team a very good one at that for nothing.

for the record man utd still have not signed tevez

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that he plans to extend Carlos Tevez's Manchester United stay.

The tireless forward has established himself as a United favourite since making the switch from West Ham United, but his existing loan contract expires at the end of next season.

However, Ferguson has revealed that chief executive David Gill has been in talks with the 23-year-old's agent Kia Joorabchian, and a 'cheap' fee is in place.

"There is no question about his long-term future here. David Gill has spoken to his agent and told him we are very happy with him," he said.

"The fee is in place. I won't tell you what it is but it is still cheap. I want to make his happen. He has impressed everyone with his appetite for the game.

"He'll get me 15 goals this season and what's more they will be important goals."

Last season.

How about this season ?

Nothing he can do about last season, everything to play for this season.

OK, here goes....

peewee wrote:benitez wants out

He has turned down Real Madrid, his hometown team in the past six months. He also rebuked Brian Munich's advances by stating "I am happy with my team, my club and my city"

peewee wrote:trying to get himself sacked

The best way to "get yourself sacked" as a manager would be not to do your job. Benitez's job is results. Since the Arsenal game (when the reportedly talked) he has won four and drawn one from five, scoring 15 goals in the process and shipping one. Hardly going to get himself the sack doing htat is he ?

peewee wrote:so he can walk away with the money

"The Money" as you put it is not an option for Benitex. He is one of the wealthiest men in football management, his salary at Liverpool only eclipsed by Slur Alex. As he has proved time and time again, its ALL ABOUT success.

peewee wrote:why else would he be acting like such a t*t

The only part I can kind of agree with you on. He is acting petty, but to say he is acting like a t.it is bollo.cks. He is doing so however to try and emphasise the importance of a market area that the owners clearly do not understand (European football transfers) and prompt a response. I have no problem with him doing this, I have a problem with him doing it in hte public glare.

peewee wrote:he is rapidly becoming a new houllier.

He is not, he is nowhere near it and never will be mate. Thats just a lazy comment and you know it.

Houllier never did what Rafa does, and rafa does not do what Houllier did.

I don't think Rafa is some Genius, he's a very good manager doing a difficult job well. Everyone keeps going on about how well Fergie is doing... If we win our game in hand we will be ABOVE the mancs, so Rafa must be doing something right. I certainly believe he should be judged at the end of the season and not halfway through it, no matter what the result against Porto.

Tom Hicks and George Gillett are gripped in a £500million financial crisis that threatens Kop carnage - with the departure of Rafa Benitez only one item on their nightmare agenda.

The Anfield boss is at breaking point with his American owners and is only one more rant away from the sack after last week's bizarre outburst - prompted by what he sees as their failure to back him again in the transfer market.

Although if Benitez does get the boot he is understood to have a clause in his contract that would see him walk away with a £6million pay-off.

The club owners are desperate - with the world credit squeeze threatening to wreck their grandiose plans for a new 76,000-seater stadium that is due to open in 2010, but which could now be delayed.

Hicks and Gillett, even if they get the £500m they need to start work on the new ground, are likely to be faced with double-digit interest rates that would see the club paying out a staggering £50m in bank fees - £20m more than the expected operating profit for 2007. They know that would not make business sense and the only way to fund the loan would be by either hiking ticket prices - something they vowed not to do - knowing that such a move would wreck their fragile relationship with an increasingly doubtful support.

Or they can freeze transfer cash, a move that would almost certainly cause a final split between them and Benitez.
                    -----------------------------------------------
More worrying figures! I still think if they put the debt against the club in the refinancing of THEIR debt it is wrong ,and will have severe and long lasting consequences for "our" club.

But we are doing WELL in the league this season mate. Question for you - If we were already qualified for the Champs League knock-out stages would you be fairly happy with how the season was panning out? e.g. win our game in hand and we're 2nd in the LEAGUE, still in League Cup, through to knock-out stages in Europe. Now if the answer is YES then can you not see the irony in what you have been saying? everyone who isn't happy with Rafa bashes him for his record in the league and YET they continually use this season's CHAMPIONS LEAGUE record as a STICK to beat him with IGNORING a very solid start to our league campaign.

It is a good thing Dallas Stars owner Tom Hicks is a billionaire. Otherwise, he might not survive the mess he has made of the Dallas franchise. The team, which owns 50% of American Airlines Center, is saddled with $200 million in debt (the team's holding company, Southwest Sports, defaulted on $135 million of debt four years ago), a high payroll, and an under-performing team that can't make it past the first round of the playoffs. The natives have clearly gotten restless, illustrated by sagging ticket sales and waning interest in the Dallas market for the Stars. In the face of this Hicks has actually increased the team's marketing staff to boost ticket sales. What he really needs is a better product.

Forbes

Sound familiar ? :(
