imo it was just a tongue in cheek comment from rafa. what he actually said when asked about the england job was "if my english improves, maybe" and then he smiled. chill out everyone, this thing has been totally blown out of proportion

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

Talk about copying posts from an other forum well i was reading the echo tonight on line and had a look at the debate going on in the echo forum concerning Rafa.

As far as comments go this lads hit the nail on the head for me
I agree with everything this lad goes on about,  i copied his post and have put it on hear(sorry for cheating) but i believe hes right

By the way this was from a poll
Rafa or the Yanks

for me this is rafa putting his job on the line because he wants the same as what every single fan who has posted on this forum wants and that is funds to get top players so anyone who does not back rafa imo is a hypocrite.. it is clear that rafa has not had the funds that was suggested when the yanks talked about player specific e.t.c if rafa was not concerned about the situation he would not of shown his discontent remember he may not listen to the fans about rotation but he knows we are not stupid when it comes to the standard of players that are needed at the club...... i think this is a cry for help and suppoert from rafa and i believe he deserves our help and support if anyone knows what this club means to the fans it is rafa more so than the americans..

His answer to another post

so rafa should sit back and get blasted by the fans he so clearly loves just because he can not get the funds to buy the players needed.... sorry but rafa needed to show the fans that it is not him who has controle of the amount of money spent i back rafa even more so after some of the grief he has got on this forum because he never got players such as the q man e.t.c at least now we now why and this is because the yanks feel that spending 25 mill is enough well i have a message for the people who i suppoerted from day one ( G & H ) this is not enough if you expect rafa to do the buisness in all comps when his rivals have spent more than double than what we have in the past few years...... and like gunners are now reeping the bennifits of a youth system that rafa is only just being able to start building

wow I'm impressed that everyone is rallying behind Rafa but it's to no use, he is as good as gone I think.
He is just too bloody arrogant if he thinks he can out-muscle Hicks and Gillet, the same arrogance that makes him think rotation will work, that makes him think playing Kuyt instead of Crouch is a good idea, the same arrogance that made him really think that he would sign Heinze form Manure. The way he is behaving by whining to the media is quite frankly unprofessional and embarassing!

what people are annoyed about is the turnover of players. name a club who has brought and sold more players than us, there isnt one. maybe g and h jus wanna calm it down for a few weeks (but they should buy masher)

this isnt only fools and horses, rafa isnt del boy, and heneeds to get a stable team for a season without everyone thinking they are out the door if they dont work out in 1 or 2 games

But we more a few more quality players Daws , Rafa know this ,we know this, dont forget weve been bangin on about it for ages weve all said we need at least another 3 top class and i mean top class players, everyone has been on Rafas case and now he is trying to do something about it the bank of America seems to be closed for buissiness .

You cant blame Rafa for doing a moody , Dosnt matter what indusry you work in if if you short staffed and know you can produce the goods with a couple of more quality staff you would get a cob on aswell

Thats a fair point mate stability would obviously help. But if the current players are not upto it (i am not saying all of them) then you need to strengthen. That should happen even if we were top or if we would win the league. You dont rest on your laurels. United won the league then spent more than we did despite already having better players and a better squad. Now am not saying we have to go OTT but if Rafa THE CLUB MANAGER has seen we need players to improve then he must be backed.

What we also need to remember was the high turn over of players at the time was imo a necessity or if you look at it another way due to Rafa have less money to play with he has always had to sell to finance incoming players to an extent, so thats also not his fault.

Dont forget by the time rafa had sold his cast offs in the summer his total outlay in the summer wasn't as much as the press made out and the same looks possible in January with Crouch and Sissoko looking dead certs IMO to fund Mascha plus a defender. So maybe G&H should wake up and smell their expresso's:D

In Madrid press they are rubbing their hands with this polemic as we speak.

I can understand that the owners are investing a lot of money in the stadium, and that this club cannot be a bottomless sack of money for them.

However, the statement they have done can be interpreted as a reprimand. They tell Rafa to shut up, but they don't seem to realise Rafa is put on front of microphones and asked questions. I think this is what has provoked Rafa's sarcastic inscrutability.

Rafa now has to see the big picture and realise he has a great squad available and focus indeed in the important games we have on front of us. Rafa will only leave this club if he's sacked, of that I'm sure. I think Rafa has overreacted a bit, he has exagerated the focus on the team thingy when he could have made his point in a more diplomatic manner.

On the other hand, now, when people says "go big Rafa" in signing ups, they'll have to add "as far as you're allowed, that is".

So in conclussion, my hunch is that this won't mean the end of Rafa's tenure, but both Rafa and the owners have made a mistake airing all this in the way they have done. I hope the lesson is learned, and we move on.

There is no way that Rafa is going to get sacked over this. No way, whatsoever.

G & H are well aware that losing Rafa during this time in the season would be a dagger in the heart of Liverpool. No good can come from losing Rafa right now. G & H have invested a lot in Rafa and Rafa's team and there is no way they are going to kick him out over something silly like this that has been driven mostly by the media.
