Not really worried if Crouch goes in January Babel can play as a striker anyway and will offer more of a threat we are just so preditcable with Crouch and play the boring long ball game to him.
Lets face it he isnt happy being here and we should cash in before he walks on a free atleast get something back for what we payed for him.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

People really need to stop reading the papers. Are we really going to have a thread every time a player is left out, or goes a few games as an unused sub?

I still think he's going nowhere. People are talking as if the season's halfway through - it's only October for f*ck's sake.

Compare his situation with that of Eduardo Da Silva at Arsenal, who only got a look in at the weekend because Van Persie was out. No-one's saying Wenger doesn't like the player just because he's not playing him. He's just got other options that he's preferring to use right now, and I'd definitely not bet against him being well into double figures by the time the season ends.

We have a strong quartet of strikers, and - like Fowler last season - Crouch seems to be 4th in a roster of 4. He'll play a part, but as I've said many times before, he'll have to really impress when his chances come to alter his position in the hierachy.

Crouch has started 3 of the last 8 games, but for some reason people are talking as if Rafa's ignoring him completely.

For the record:

Kuyt has started 4 of the last 8.
Voronin has started 4 of the last 8.
Torres has started 5 of the last 8.

I really do fail to see what people are going on about.

You lot, sometimes, deserve a good beating.

Your weird.

Where has anyone stuck up for Crouch over the manager ?

And whats Crouch done for you to slag him off ?

I think something has obviously gone on, for Torres to be out and Crouch still not get a look in shows clearly that he is out of favour.

I think Lando's posts are now becoming desperate in all honesty.

He used to talk a bit of sense, but now jeeezuzz. Maybe when Alonso comes back he'll pick up his posting form.  :D

I think you might be right, especcially when you think that Rafa "persisted" with the big man when he couldnt hit a barn door when he first came in.

none of my business, but the way i read Lando's post is this:

'the same (or close enough) people who slagged crouchie off when he came to liverpool as being 'a lanky streak of :censored:' and 'not good enough for the club' are now siding with him over the manager'

Not saying i agree with that, but that's how i read Lando's post.

So why he is calling him a lanky streak of p!ss and that ?

Does he have to post OTT comments for no reason to just provoke a reaction ?

crouchy is one of those players that need to play regualry to keep their touch. sort of like bellamy. strikers like kuyt vorinin dont need to play consec games. if crouch wants to go then he can go. otherwise fight for ur place. he is very useful in europe especially when we can give him good service

He's played less than 90 minutes in the league.  Ivor's stats include Champions League and Carling Cup starts.
