This would be a smart move for Peter, he’ll really screw Benitez over with that one and no doubt he’ll swan off to Man City where he’ll be challenging for the Premiership and be qualifying for the Champions League.

Yeah I was thinking that aswell ya nutter lol

Peter Crouch will not be forced out of Liverpool in the transfer window - even if Rafa Benitez warns him he has no future at Anfield.

The England striker knows he faces the fight of his life to convince the Reds' boss he should be allowed to spearhead the Liverpool attack alongside Fernando Torres.

But while Manchester City, Newcastle and Portsmouth would be willing to pay the £15m Liverpool want in the New Year, the 6ft 7in hit-man has no intention of deciding on his next port of call. Benitez has been assessing new signings weeks before a dip in form ended with the defeat to Marseille that's put Liverpool's chances of reaching the Champions League knock-out stages in danger.

A source close to Crouch said: "It doesn't matter whether Liverpool want to sell in January, Peter is going nowhere. He's already played in the Champions League and his chances would be limited to clubs not involved in Europe if he moved in the New Year.

"His options will be far greater next summer, when he will only have a year left on his contract.

I hope he was watching Berbatov doing what he supposedly does for us - but doesn't. And Torres showed how to win and head on target WITHOUT giving away a foul.

The guy's a prat, the statement he won't be forced out if he has no future suggests he's either happy to pick up his wages, happy to be where he's not wanted or knows he won't play for a club anywhere near the size of Liverpool. Who wants a plank like that at their club?!! ??!? ?! Any footballer worth having wouldn't be happy to be unwanted, he would be anxious to move on and play elsewhere surely? If the links with Man City are true he should grab a chance to play for them, they are heading upwards despite my pessimism over their prospects and he might succeed there.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

My take on him has always been clear.......sell if we are lucky to get anything for him.Average player at best.. I would have sold him instead of Bellamy.

If he bangs in another hattrick against Arsenal, will you still be saying this?

What has changed that much about the reaction around this player?

I remember when he came he had a terrible drought and he didn't receive as much stick back then. Last season he was the best striker of the four, and this season, in 7 games people do not say they are not convinced, no, people laugh at him in not a different manner the opposition fans laugh at him.

Disgusting  Oh - and he's not Spanish. But he's a player of Liverpool F.C. and at least for that he shouldn't be insulted.

He might score but not another hatrick with things going these way.If a offer comes in for 8-10mp during the jan window , i'd say sell him off.

But I like this guy , somehow he alwiz score goals , i don't know why rafa won't start him

Are you lads interested?  If so, maybe we could sort out a swap: we'll give you Crouch and you give us Aguerro.  Deal?  ???  :D

Does everyone remember the class he showed last season with some of the best goals seen from a Liverpool CF for a long long time.

Really think it's amazing how people forget the overheads, the left/right/head hat-trick, the assists he's done.
Just not flavour of the month eh?.

Definately does not deserve this abuse, a far better player than given credit for.

Sell him. Simply not good enough. I would take 8million for him, and we can buy either a quality winger, defender or striker :D

I say swap Crouch for Anelka, Anelka has been top class this season as he was when he played for us when he should of been kept on.

Another terrible transfer blunder by Mr Houliier.
