When SG is not playing, the team just doesnt look strong
When SG playing in the middle, the team looks twice the force
Risse cant play decently in LM role (no creativity-just block the left side defensively)

im with the above however i think i would start with alonso just for the long ball vision he has and then bring maca in

i think a strikeforce of torres and babel with a midfield of gerrard, mash, kewell and pennant will give them a hard time. i remember pennant giving a-cole a very hard time on the flanks last season. thats why i would choose pennant over yossi. crouch and alonso can come on when the tie is over with like 20mins to go.

Oh I wish the tie would be over with 20 minutes to go but I guarantee it will go to the wire and be a nail biter, I'm also going to go with a 3-2 win to us.

We whooped them last year in the league so i don't see why we can't do it again. They hate playing at Anfield, the atmosphere is too much for them. Getting a win would be a huge boost to either teams season so its important we get it. My team would be.

Do we know if kewell is fit, if he is and is more importantly match fit then he shoudl play otherwise I would play Babel on the left midfield.

we are nicely set up for this one, having started excellently ( taking our recent premiership start history), i see us winning 3-1 with a brace from Kuyt and a debut goal from El Nino

A hard fought 2-1. We should be battering them, but we will make things difficult. Torress will miss one or two chances, and Steve G will bail us out. I'm gonna predict something nuts like, Babel will score our first goal or Carragher from 40 yards out on the volly in off the crossbar.
