Better than us in Europe? No. They haven't gotten past the first hurdle of the knockout stages since 2001.

But you're entitled to your opinion.

That is all true, but i just think they're playing better football than you right now.

Like it has been said, come Feb that might all be different. But thats just if's and maybe's.

Better football doesn't always guarantee success.

We didn't play the best football in the world when we won it in Istanbul. We did what we had to tactically to get to Istanbul and win it.

Benitez is a lot more tactically astute in Europe than Wenger and Fergie the red nose.

ya, but you forget murph, that no great players have left the nou camp saying 'that was incredible'. all we're trying to say is that if the tie is still in the balance come the second leg at anfield in march, we might have that extra push because of our amazing fans :;):

im just sitting quietly biding my time until the draw while all the barca fans(as well as many other english teams fans) shout their mouths off about how barca r gonna smash liverpool. you can never be too confident wen you play lfc. ask chelski and milan

I don't think we'll 'smash' you at all. But i'm confident in my team winning the tie.

I'll give you all a promise now, if you beat us i'll be back here to congratulate you.

If you lot win we will congratulate you lot. We're not bitter. The kop applauds good football and good goals even if it's by the opposition.

There's not many group of supporters who sing at the end of the match after they lost 4-1 at their own ground. Anywhere else you would hear boo's and whatnot but not at Anfield.

Who were the fans singing "we're gonna win it 4-3" at half-time against AC Milan in Istanbul?

I don't think I've ever heard our fans boo our players after a poor game.

They won their group so did we and a lot more convincingly.

I don't disagree with any of that. But i think after so many bad seasons in Europe, Arsenal have set themselves up to play European style football. And that is why IMO they've started to struggle in the Prem. They have a great plan A, but no plan B.

Which is one of the main reasons they didn't win it last year and never have in the past under Wenger or any other manager for that matter.

There's no need for that. He's one of the few opposing supporters who haven't come here to spam and stir up trouble.

Are you talking about playing in the Camp Nou? Or the atmosphere in the Camp Nou?

If the tie is still in the balance come the 2nd leg, you still have a chance, crowd or no crowd.

It is your opinion that Anfield's atmosphere is like no other, it is however not a fact

It IS a fact that Anfield's atmosphere is well known through out Europe. It IS a fact that where as in Anfield you can hear different songs, and specific songs for the players, in the Nou Camp you won't here much more than the "Tot el camp es un clam" and the classic "Barça, Barça, Barça". Denying those facts is like denying that Barcelona practices a good football to watch!

It gives our players that extra push which can be defining, just ask chavski. Believe me it can make all the difference, istanbul at half time, olympiakos, chavski in the semi of the fa cup and Cl, the list goes on and you cant say that the fans didnt play a major part in us coming through all them games as winners.

Manu might be better at the moment but in feb it could be alot different, we've had a slow start but were starting to kick into gear now. arsenal just about scraped through their group much like yourselves so how you can say they are playing their best football in europe is beyond me. Currently we play the best in europe out of all the english clubs.

Anyway, you can give it all the "we wanted liverpool" as much as you want coz thats just the way we like it, being the underdogs puts the pressure on barce and with the crowd behind us at anfield it might just make goofy and co crack.

It is your opinion that Anfield's atmosphere is like no other, it is however not a fact. You say it will make a difference, i say it won't. Hardly worth debating any further than that is it?

So you're saying i should base my opinion on who will be a better draw by who might be playing better come Feb?

Arsenal had a fantastic season in the CL last year, and won their group this year too. I think it's fair to say Arsenal play better in Europe than in the Prem these days.

And Chelsea have been the best English team in Europe so far this season. They topped what everyone considered the group of death. Beating the current European Champions in the process.

Over the last 3 seasons we have been the best english team in europe i'd say. The atmosphere at anfield isnt my opinion fella, theres enough evidence to suggest that the atmosphere at anfield can have a bearing.

And no am not saying you should base your opinion on who is the best draw by whos playing better in feb, but you said manu are currently better than us but what am saying is that in feb we could be better. And they have only been better in the prem, we pi$$ed our group whilst they struggled in one of the weaker groups in CL.

Anyway your entitled to your opinion but if you go the game at anfield you'll be blown away and see what everyones on about, this isnt no galatasaray "this is hell" sh.it, this is the real deal and ronaldinho and co will be sh.iting out last weeks paella when they hear the kop roar.

liverpool have the best chance of all the english teams because
1. man utd although good in the prem have struggled in europe .
2. arsenal think you can win games by walking the ball into the net and try being to fancy.
3. chelsea are choke artists.

barca also are guilty of overplaying on occasions an thats where they'll come unstuck if anywhere plus there defence is shaky in europe

I'm not saying the Anfield atmosphere isn't special at all. But i'm saying if a Liverpool fan says it's the best in the world, it is his opinion and not 100% fact.
