BARCELONA 1-2 LIVERPOOL - ALL REACTION HERE......

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

i'll be honest. when this draw came out i was 50/50 about it. on one hand it's the toughest draw we could have got but on the other hand it's the most exciting draw we could have got.

it's quite simple. we're the underdogs but we've got the second leg at home. for what it's worth, i actually think we'll beat them at anfield. it's just about making sure we're still in the tie come the second leg. the last two times we've gone to the nou camp we've got two 0-0 draws. the same will do me just fine again.

I said in 2005 if we beat Juve we'd win the tournament.

I'll go out on a limb again & say if we beat Barca the '5 times' song will be out of date come the summer.

im so glad we've got Barca and that we're the underdogs, we always perfom better in that situation.

tactically we can match em at the nou camp, benitez is one clever cookie. then at anfield..........well that says it all.......ANFIELD....the pride, the passion, the magic and the crowd what more do you need!

another magical european night at anfield beckons...

Watching Balague the other night he said there's far too much arrogance in Spain from Barcelona, he reckons thats the reason they also lost in the Club Championship, arrogance and believing it would be easy...

I reckon they're in for another rude awakening come this tie..

personally i feel that this is the best tie that we could have got. the main thing in our favour is that, like in 2005, we are the underdogs yet again...which may prove to be a defining factor in our victory!! in order to win the CL we were gonna always have to beat a top side like barca. but now we can play them earlier in the competition and they'll be too over confident cos if we met them at a later stage they would be more cautious. so we can nail them now! have you seen the comment messi made today how lfc r one of the easier sides in the draw, bull sh*T, you're gonna wear it messi!!! come on you reds!!!!!!!!!! :p

Don't believe everything he says, he's an Espanyol fan and can sometimes be very bitter when it comes to Barca. And Mark Bolton is a reial madrid fan, so Sky TV isn't really very pro Barca.

I don't think Messi is wrong. Lyon, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Man Utd and Arsenal would have all been tougher games IMO. I wanted Liverpool before the draw, and i'm happy we got you.

I'm not trying to say you're gonna be a walkover, nor do i think the Barca players think the same. But when you look at the teams we could have got, we have to be happier to be playing you.

Trust me, Barca won't be effected by playing at Anfield, no matter how much noise you think you'll make. I'm sure El Classico has far more of an atmosphere and more riding on it than the game at Anfield come March.

anfield on a big european night IS something that few of the barca players will be prepared for....as pavel nedved said in 05, the atmosphere at anfield is like no other, it is like they had 12 players.....as juve and chelski found out last yr, liverpool are harder to beat than anyone away from home! if we manage a draw at camp nou, or get an away goal...trust me, it'll be on like donkey kong!!!!

I have seen Barca play in very hostile environments before, and they played no different. Are you also forgetting the last time we played in your 'hostile' atmosphere?

I'm not dissing your support here. I'm just telling you it won't effect my team.
