Some of Houllier's cack is still found on the training pitch and even playing for us!!!!

Traore and Diao (Back from loan in Jan), for example.

Houllier's failed signings, and combined amount paid:

Diouf, Diao, Cheyrou, Ferri, Le Tellec, Medjani, Daniel Sjolund, Vignal, Christian Ziege, Nick Barmby, Bernard Diomede, Heskey, Meijer, Smicer, Titi Camara, Sander Westerveld, Frode Kippe and Rigobert Song, Chris Kirkland (injuries).

19 players who for one reason or another were bad signings for LFC.
Some were injured, some were over priced, some never played, some only lasted a year.

Virtually ALL of them were sh*t. Not one of the useless b*stards in the above list would get in our team now, save for Ziege in his Middlesborough/AC Milan days.

Their combined transfer total?

Are you ready?

£70,650,000.00

F*cking wasted on sh*t.

Add to these players the ones who were classed as flops under Houllier, but have sinced proved otherwise:

Kewell £5m
Biscan £5.5m
Finnan £3.5m
Baros £3.2m
Pongolle £2.5m. That's another £20.2m wasted.

£90,850,000.00

And all this is only up to the summer of 2003!!!!! Unbelievable!

His good signings (at least during his management.):

Hyypia £2.65m
Henchoz £3.5m
Hamann £8m
Gary Mac - Free
Markus Babbel - Free
Jari Litmanen - Free
John-Arne Riise - £4.6m
Dudek £4.85m
Nicolas Anelka - Loan

Total: £23,600,000.00

Shocking.

A total outlay of £114,450,000.00, not including wages, or certain other signings such as Luzi Bernardi (I cannot find how much he, or the others cost).

And some people are busy questioning Benitez's style of negotiations!!!!!

??? :D  :D

Houllier did sell quite a few players too......can't think of all exactly, but i remember him getting a hefty 13 million for Fowler.

Benni keeps his plans mostly to his chest and we and the outside world arnt the wiser. Look what the media pressure did to us in the summer with gerrard, he almost left. Benni does not use the media enough and leaves it to late:p

As you are a newbie, I will go easy on you.

You are talking b*llocks.

Do you really believe that Rafa and Rick Parry haven't contacted any players/clubs about possible transfers yet? Are you seriously implying that going public with our targets would help our situation?

It is blatantly obvious that Sh*tski and Manure can out-bid us on any player, so keeping things under wraps is the only way to keep the vultures off our targets.

It's becoming a joke now with how many times we are linked with a player, only for Sh*tski, Manure, Arsenal, Newcastle, Juve, etc to join the race because they know that if Rafa rates a playe, he will almost certainly be f*cking brilliant.

LFC going public in the media would be like putting signs up at every top-flight side in Europe:

It is amazing how Houllier have cost the club so much and his transfer policy is so p1ssed poor

I decided not to mention him as we made a tidy profit on him.
He was a free transfer from Beyern Munich, but we sold him for £3.1m I believe.

Thanks for mentioning him though!!!!!

I see...most of his better signings seems to have cost below £3M or free. It is those high value/high profile signings that bomb on us. Add to the cost the way he mismanaged McManaman and Owen's contract...that's at least another £10M this French mustard have cost us Image

We got £11m for Fowler.

I can't find the exact figures for the transfers out of Anfield at the time, but I can assure you that the total money recouped was a damn site less than the purchase prices.

Take Heskey for example - £11m in, £6m out. A loss of £5m.

What did we let Barmby go for? About £2.6m wasn't it?

Houllier is to money what firemen are to water.

And the rest.

Macca would have gone for at least £12m, and Owen could have gone for anything up to £25m.

BTW "The Gaffer".

Winning the treble does not excuse the vast amounts of money squandered.

Winning the CL, League and FA cup 10 years running wouldn't change the fact that Houllier f*cked this club with his pathetic signings.

Manure or Chelski, while making their intentions public to induce the targeted players who in turn put pressure on their respective clubs, never actually get to buy players on the cheap. In fact, it is quite the reverse as they pay very high and the clubs get to put on a wrangle for the transfer because they were trying to maximise their selling price.

Rafa does not let the selling club try to price their player way over his valuation, because then he will pull out of the deal.

Football is a team game and the player targeted should not be made as "him or nobody else". There are always alternatives, no matter how inspirational or exceptional the targeted player is. Even if Ronaldinho did not go to Barca, surely Frank Rijkaard would have to find some one else and change the way they play the game. If the team you build has good ethics and mentality, the chances of success would be higher.

I don't think Rafa should change the way he approaches his transfer targets just because we miss out on some players.

I can't f*cking believe I forgot Cisse!!!!!

That's another £14m wasted, seeing as his actual value is less than half that.

£104,850,000.00 wasted on misfits or rip-offs then.

Total Houllier outlay:

£128,450,000.00.

I'm SO glad he won the treble, otherwise I might get f*cking enraged by such gross negligence.

I'm F*CKING FURIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all know that GH have spent a lot of money but it's all in the past now. He;s gone .

Let think about other question.

1) 18 days to go but we still looking for the right player with the right price . If Rafa don't get that player , is there any plan B ?

It's not in the past as the effects are still felt today.

We never had a transfer budget for that silly tw*t.

Think you might have forgotten Abel "I'm on the high" Xavier? To think the due diligence Houllier goes through before signing any player is a :censored: joke...how on earth did he unearth that wasted sperm in EHD and Salif Diao? :no  :veryangry

Santa, Xavier only cost us 800,000 if my memory serves me right.

That's not a lot compared to horrendous transfer mistakes such as Diouf, Cheyrou, Diao who were absolutely downright awful. These players cost millions and they can't even perform! At least Xavier is decent although not earth shatteringly good.
