Not sure I understand your point .

set pieces - how do you beat a man who is 6 foot 7 in the air?

OK ,get yer point but height isn't everything , if it was, clubs would be scramblin' to sign half the NBA .

I don't want to be too harsh on Crouch 'cause i haven't seen that much of him BUT I'm just not impressed with what I have seen. If we were to sign him because of his height /ariial ability .What do we do with Morientes whose arial ability is recognised as one of his greatest strenghts ,and heading aside his all round ability is better than Crouch's.
:talktothehand
Nah , Crouch doesn't convince me.

excellent point woof, and tbh you woudln't want to play Moro and Crouch together, it would be a terrible partnership.

no no no no, we dont want the long dangly dingly streaky :censored:, we want some who will put the ball in the back of the net and i think we have 2 strikers that will do exactly that morientes and cisse, and maybe baros ( i know that makes 3)

another thing that winds me up about crouch is the football jersey it looks like it belongs to a four year old when he puts one on :D  man the cuffs goes up to his elbows and they aint rolled up.

argh why does rafa wanna sign that lanky streak of p*ss hes hopeless, would suit a mid table side but not us hes just not good enough we need a top quality striker if we need one at all. cisse, morientes and baros as backup then pongolle, mellor as reserves seems good enough really

im the same i would rather have a proven player, it might be to do with this rule about so many home grown players, like i said before if rafa buys him it will be for the premiership games.

I saw Peter Crouch on several occasions last season and he played well each time, he has good ability and his height is an obvious advantage.

While I thought he was a good player I never considered he would be a potential Liverpool player as there’s a difference between a good player and a top quality player.

I do have total faith in Rafa and if he is of the opinion that Crouch would be a good addition then i we should support this signing.

its the same with me mate i have full faith in rafa and i would support crouch if he came. i thought the same as you before, i watched him many a time last season and thought he looked very good so when i heard we were interested i thought great but lately ive thought twice and said no way hes not good enough for liverpool fc, we can do better although i would support him fully if rafa bought him although i wouldnt want rafa paying as much as he is for crouch, already had £6m turned down and even thats too much for him, we could use that money much better

So it looks like we're signing the six and a half foot rake from 'arry Redknapp and everyone thinks Rafa has gone all Gerrard Houllier on us, signing over priced, mediocre sh!te that would normally befit the Dogs of War from across the park..

Strange though, dont yer think? That the same people who are quick to right off the "16 goals in 5 months wonder", are the one's who lay into the more classy, catwalk esque attacking players we have. I mean, we've brought in foreign players before who have done it all in other leagues, we have Euro2004's Golden boot winner, the season before lasts CL top scorer, and a £14m French striker who could well turn out to be anything between the next Emile Heskey and the next Thierry Henry..

So does it not seem feasable that while these high profile, goodlookers from abroad, with more ball skills than a Soho hooker, have hardly set the Premiership on fire yet, a big towering, lumbering number from good old England, might just prove to be the catalyst we need or in the very least what we need to tackle those mid December away games on muddy pitches at the likes of Wigan, Sunderland etc??

Who would you rather have? The next John Toshack or the new El Hadji Diouf?? I've heard and seen it all before, how Kewell, Diouf, Morientes, Cisse, Heskey etc were the missing links, the 20 goal a seasoners, the big man we've needed upfront or the new playmakers..

Well on the evidence so far, the big, ugly lamppost has as good a chance as any of writing himself into the illustrious LFC history books.

Just a thought like.

If he becomes a red, then lets treat him like one eh..

The Liverpool Way and RAWK have members on there who are saying that we have signed Peter Crouch for £6.5 million.

Expect this to run all day.
