Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Did you mena Bruno "the next Zidane" Cheyrou who has the audacity to play with white boots as if he has some special talent?

An unglamorous Brazillian playing in a key defensive midfielder role and won 1 World Cup winners' medal with Brazil at that exact position named Gilberto Silva, has bags more ability than that "next Zidane". Gilberto can score a couple of goals but always chose to sit back and complement Viera and in his absence, how Arsenal and Viera has missed him!

Why bring this skill-less softie back to Liverpool? To join in the build-up play and increase the occurrence of giving the ball away by Liverpool like he always does for Houllier? Don't need him and keep him away from the first team as much as possible!

If its true and I hope not.

Buying/loaning players at the end of there shelf life, we're now even behaving like a second rank club in the transfer market.

What a fook up!

If a class player becomes available on loan you would be stupid not to take him, even at 33 he is still class :p

as i've said before, i think taking pellegrino on a free/loan/whatever for a season or so is a great move. he's a vastly experienced player who will provide great cover and options. look at the what manure did with lauren blanc - he was a world class defender who came in at the end of his career to shore up their defence and allow them to prepare a new set of players. it worked a treat for them.

while pellegrino is not in the class of blanc, our defence isn't as f*cked up as theirs was. its a good move.

and also zarababe fancies the pants of him.

:D

Class  :D

I'm of the same opinion regarding this Galactico nonsense.

From planetfootball

Liverpool's Igor Biscan has emerged as a target for Primera outfits Atletico Madrid and Valencia.

The Croat has struggled to truly establish himself at Anfield since his big-money move from Dinamo Zagreb in December 2000.

While he enjoyed first-team opportunities under Gerard Houllier, he has failed to convince Rafa Benitez of his worth despite a couple of eye-catching performances this term.

The 26-year-old has been used mainly in the Carling Cup, although it was his display away in the UEFA Champions League against Deportivo La Coruna that brought him to the attention of Valencia and Atletico.

Biscan is also thought to be on the agenda of both Celtic and Southampton, with Saints boss Harry Redknapp already thought to have submitted a £500,000 offer for his services.

While Benitez has hinted he is ready to let the midfielder move on, that approach was rebuffed and it looks unlikely he will depart during the transfer window because of injury problems at Anfield.

With Xabi Alonso sidelined for around two months with a broken ankle, The Reds' midfield resources are already stretched and Biscan will be needed with Liverpool still competing on four fronts.

However, unless an irresistible offer arrives in January, he seems almost certain to move on in the summer and the opportunity to test himself in La Liga could prove attractive to Biscan

You'd never know, if this proves to be accurate there could be a Biscan plus money offer winging its way to Valencia to try and get Pablo Aimar

Their hasn't been any 'solid' news, it's all speculation at the moment, I hope rafa supprises us all and has signed a big name without the media knowing, all I know is that all this waiting is killing me :(
