Liverpool's Igor Biscan has emerged as a target for Primera outfits Atletico Madrid and Valencia.
The Croat has struggled to truly establish himself at Anfield since his big-money move from Dinamo Zagreb in December 2000.
While he enjoyed first-team opportunities under Gerard Houllier, he has failed to convince Rafa Benitez of his worth despite a couple of eye-catching performances this term.
The 26-year-old has been used mainly in the Carling Cup, although it was his display away in the UEFA Champions League against Deportivo La Coruna that brought him to the attention of Valencia and Atletico.
Biscan is also thought to be on the agenda of both Celtic and Southampton, with Saints boss Harry Redknapp already thought to have submitted a £500,000 offer for his services.
While Benitez has hinted he is ready to let the midfielder move on, that approach was rebuffed and it looks unlikely he will depart during the transfer window because of injury problems at Anfield.
With Xabi Alonso sidelined for around two months with a broken ankle, The Reds' midfield resources are already stretched and Biscan will be needed with Liverpool still competing on four fronts.
However, unless an irresistible offer arrives in January, he seems almost certain to move on in the summer and the opportunity to test himself in La Liga could prove attractive to Biscan
You'd never know, if this proves to be accurate there could be a Biscan plus money offer winging its way to Valencia to try and get Pablo Aimar
