Beroe - Levski 4:4
Levski create chances with training match-like ease, but on the other end, Beroe's rare attacks are almost 100% efficient, thanks to Mihaylov's performance

Cherno more - Levski 1:1
Congo striker Massena Moque tries a long ranged shot which is going straight above the keeper. Usually you'd think the keeper would just reach his hand and punch it away. Wrong - Nikolay Mihaylov makes a really weird dive which lets the strike get in the back of his net.

Scotland - Bulgaria 5:1
Bulgaria didn't play with their best, but neither did Scotland. Mihaylov appeared in the second half and looked like he doesn't know where's he at.

Auxerre - Levski 2:1
This was the game that set hopes high amongst some Levski fans. He had a couple of good saves, although that was only because the French strikers were shooting right at him.

Levski - Slavia (friendly)
Slavia scored a goal from 40 meters away. 'Nuff said.

Congratulations on your "amazing" signing and pray to all gods that he never gets the chance to appear in the first team ???

as we said he made some mistakes in those games u pointed out, because of his horrible discipline back then....also these were his first matches for Levski. I just dont want Liverpool fans getting wrong opinion of him before they've seen him. He had no luck in Levski because of all the pesimistic and negative thinking towards him after the Werder match...this wouldn't have happened to any other goalie, but his father was one of the greatest Bulgarian goalies of all time, and the expectations towards Niki were huge, especially for a 17 year old kid! He couldnt deal with all the pressure towards him after the Werder match. So Im just asking from the Liverpool fans give him a chance...warm welcome...and trust me he will repay it double!

Cheers

He must have felt that just getting to the champions league wasn't good enough, he had to get out of the group stage :D

He at the beginning of the career has been playing as a striker. It though becomes a goalkeeper because of the family custom

Me neither. That's why I'm telling them exactly what to expect from the guy.

He couldnt deal with all the pressure towards him after the Werder match.

Berbatov couldn't deal with the pressure when he cried after CSKA lost not only a derby match against Levski, but the Bulgarian title. Mihaylov, on the other hand, is an arrogant **** who didn't seem to be bothered after the mistakes to Werder. When we were totally crushing Werder and seeing how we'll win our first points in CL, Mihaylov sinked our dreams. In that way of words, Berbatov is ten times a bigger person than Mihaylov will ever be.

...and trust me he will repay it double in terms of own goals!

Fixed!  :idea

oh god... what have we bought.

We have Pepe and we have Carson. There's no need for any more goalkeepers :(

If Carson or Pepe Get injured, we are going to need a new back-up goalie I am guessing this guy is it.  The only other keepers that we at the club are David Martin (21 questionable talent) and Martin Hansen (just turned 17 this month).  Plus, since we are strapped for cash, if someone swoops in for Carson and the money is right Rafa might now be willing to let him go and buy cover at RB with the money.  If it is true that the kid has size and talent than a couple years of discipline and good coaching could turn him into a solid back-up.  As long as Pepe is here (which will be a while baring some drop in form or injury), Carson will not want to stay long because he knows he is good enough to start in the Prem.

This new signing might indicate Carsons ambition on actually leaving the club, which would be a sad loss :(

Josh Mimms, 18 was on the youth team last year.

Fellow youth cup starlets Charlie Barnett, Jimmy Ryan, Michael Burns and goalkeeper Josh Mimms will stay on at the Academy next season as third years.

But Martin Hansen the Dane was the best keeper on the youth team and is getting the call up to melwood for this upcoming season.

And we bought some Aussie keeper named Dean Bouzanis who is 16 and coming to the club in February cuz he is on loan to Sydney.

here would be the depth chart:
Reina (25 in August)
Carson (22 in September)
Nikolay Mikhailov (19)
David Martin (21)
Martin Hansen (17)
Josh Mimms (18 in August)
Dean Bouzanis (17 in October)

Not sure of the order past Carson, I know that Hansen is highly rated from his performance in the F.A. youth cup.  David Martin was on loan to Accrington Stanley when the Italian GK was on loan here and has been capped at the U-20 level.

Well goalkeeping is one aspect of football that I must admit I know feck all about. That said, all this stuff about "discipline" and "potential" is all very well but what the feck does it mean? I'm no expert on the subject, but in my experience good goalkeepers usually save it, and not so good goalkeepers only sometimes do. This fella from the clips I have seen, would appear to be int he latter category.

I guess there is actually a third category come to think of it, sh!te goalkeepers who rarely if ever save it. I hope he's not in this group. Maybe somebody who knows more about it than me can enlighten us, can you move from the second group (if indeed he is that good) into the first group given experience, or are you permanently sh!te? Time will tell I suppose.

Ask Stu, he will tell all. He knows Agger will never make it and he's 22 so you've got your soothsayer there if you need him  :upside:

He's not getting straight into the first team. So what is all the fuss about? Rafa has invested in the future again. But like all investments, some don't pay off, some do. I'm sure if he shows the same negative attitude as what so many claims he has, then he would be on the first bus out of Merseyside.

On a side note, I think it is sad we're talking about youth signings rather than the real deals (e.g. Henry at Barca). This shows how EXTREMELY slow LFC have been at making the big signings.

Although this GK might not be that good, he isn't a YOUTH signing.  He is 19 so its not like he will be at the academy, he will be training at Melwood, and I am guessing playing in reserve games
