Just popping on to say up the fking reds and what a title win that was! Completely unfancied (including by me) and we’ve gone and done it. Now my young lad who’s now 10 can come with me to experience the title parade and I can’t wait.

Best thing about this is I could see us winning another few titles with the core of this squad. Virgil and Mo have some left in the tank and they can lead what is a really talented squad for a few more years. Forget about rivals strengthening because so will we and we’re one of the cleverest clubs in the market. Good times ahead!

Hiya mate, nice to see you drop in, hope everything is going well.
As for the reds what would certainty significantly increase our chances of winning back to back titles would be the premier league holding back any sanctioning of city until next season. To my untrained eye city have not acted like an innocent club, where Everton and Forest complied 100 percent with the premier league investigations into their affairs city have pretty much done the opposite, they have stonewalled, obfiscated and played for time, they are acting and have acted like a club with something to hide.

I’m good mate nice to see you’re still posting. I might drop by more often.

Agree on City. They’re guilty for sure but they’re going to make it as difficult as possible for the premier league to properly punish them. I’m not convinced the 200mil they dropped in January was well spent so regardless they won’t be the city of a few seasons ago I don’t think. But they’ll still challenge and so will Arsenal.

We need a good transfer window if we want to go for 21 but this Slot fellah knows what he’s doing I think. I’m confident we will be challenging for the big trophies as long as he’s around.

i certainly do hope you drop by more often mate, you were always one of the better posters on here, be great to read your stuff again. This place isnt mad busy but a fair few still post and they are all decent lads, whatsmore unlike some other over regulated forums i could mention here you can pretty much say what you want even if it goes against the grain somewhat, dont get me wrong people will let you know they don't agree but no one is going to jump down your throat or ban you for having an opinion.
Re Arne Slot although he clearly won the title with Jurgen's team his contribution has been absolutely pivotal, he spotted things Jurgen and Pep didnt, as great as Jurgen was that DM role had become a problem ever since Fab's form started to go south, playing Gravenberch there was a stroke of genius, another thing Arne did was recognise that teams got a lot of joy attacking the space that Robbo and particularly Trent vacated as they raided up the pitch, it was an easy way to get at us, teams didnt have to work hard to get us turned and on the back foot, by asking our fullbacks to sit a bit more he turned us into a far more solid unit. As much as i love Jurgen had he stayed i don't think he would have won the league with that particular group of players. Arne was the difference maker.

Thanks! Likewise! Agree with all of that mate. Jurgen looked a bit broken towards the end a bit like his final season at Dortmund. I think he’d had enough of the referees and English media personally and that’s what drained him more than anything else.

Arne sorting the DM and being less gung-ho with the fullbacks has brought more balance definitely. We also can play different ways depending on the opponent whether it’s high press or low block/counter at times. Arne seems to be a fan of trying to bait the opposition to get them to try and press us and then go around or over them. And despite that working we haven’t necessarily had the best players to do that, so with a few additions we should get better. Unfortunately our best ‘line breaker’ for this style is off to Madrid. Interested to see how Arne evolves this team but it’s exciting times!
