Didn't no that myself, thought it would be after the match. Checked online and yeah it will be handed on final weekend. So yup looks like just ovations then lol.

I think you are forgetting our best player this year and the biggest reason we will win the league and that is Gravenberch. When he got tired we as a team looked tired, after he had a rest in the international break we played better. He doesn’t score or assist but he instantly made our defenders better and allowed the control for the forwards to get chances. I think he should be our player of the season.

I don' think that Gravenberch is any better than Ray Kennedy, Terry Mac, Ian Cally, Jimmy Case or many of the other excellent midfielders we've had in the past.

Slot has devised a new strategy/system which our players have been great in executing, but as individuals are they stand out players? No. The sum of the parts is far greater than the value of the individuals.

The thing with legends is they are not legends when they play, they become legends after they retire. I’m not suggesting that Gravenberch is even on par with them I’m just saying he is our best player this year and a major reason we are going to win the PL.

That was an unbelievable season for Slots first and to end it with number 20 is the stuff of dreams. Didn't think he would do it at the start of the season but ecstatic for him that he did!! Well fookin in Arne!!  :buttrock

We deserved every bit of this title this year, fook the rest of the club's. We have been fantastic from the get go and grew our confidence with each win. 4 games to spare in the end as well as a top point haul.   :buttrock

All the lads had a good season but really important for us was Mc Allister and Gravenberch. They had a brilliant season and a big reason we are now champions. Them settling in like that made a big difference. They are our players of the season imo. Mo and Virgil were top drawer. Ali still number one keeper in the world with some excellent saves throughout the season and not forgetting Konate  :bowdown didn't think he had that many games in him tbh!! The whole squad played their part but these are who I thought really stood up this year.

No question now about who is the most successful English club now  :buttrock  :buttrock  :buttrock

Fantastic season, we’ve blown the competition away and fully deserve the title of CHAMPIONS!!

Mac Allister Has been brilliant, reminds me of Alonso in his prime. But Mo, Ali and VVD are our spine.

Who knows what will happen in the summer. I think Trent’s gone and a few others will also be moved on.

But let’s enjoy this moment.

I really don’t see the reason to keep mentioning Klopp, he bailed and no doubt had his reasons but he bailed none the less. Just like Klopp built on Rodgers, Slot built on Klopp. It’s a part of football  but the credit is Slot’s and frankly the owners and the sporting director they assigned. It was the same team that got Klopp and Slot was a great addition to the team also. I’m excited to see what gems they can unearth and bring to the team.

Credit should go where it’s deserved and our owners are the ones that have rebuilt this club from the ground up into one of the best and most well run in the world. Slot is one of five managers that won the title in his first year but if you look at the others they were all managing moneybag clubs (Chelsea and City). Slot did it without spending hundreds of millions, his accomplishments far exceed what those mercenaries did.

We got ripped off the last time we won the title by a very strange time that the whole world went through. That will make this celebration all the sweeter and that night last night could well be those players’ best moment of their lives.

Players deserve to be champions.

Slot will win a multitude of trophies with us, he is a tactical genius. If the sport washers were actually handed a proper sentencing that sees them rightly relegated and barred from entering the EPL for a while, we would most likely dominate for the next decade.

The fact it has taken so long to punish them says that there is work behind the scenes to make a slap on the wrist for them. I’d bet the lawyers from both sides are arranging everything.

I’d bet it is along the lines of “would Manchester City accept a punishment like this without fighting it in court?” “No we wouldn’t” “ok, how about this, would they accept this?” etc

Stinks of corruption and compromise to protect the “brand”

I think FSG deserve a considerable degree of credit for finding the right man in Arne Slot for the job. Not the easiest task as the owners of Man United have discovered over a very long period of time !! The task of finding somebody to replace Klopp in my opinion was as difficult as finding the right person to replace Ferguson.

Phenomenal first season by Slot and I don’t think for one minute any of us expected him to win the league and to fight so successfully in all other competitions.

Owners found Klopp too.

I think they made errors when they first came with Brendan Rodgers blowing money on average players but since then they have been very good despite a lot of people calling them cheap. The players they brought in, coaches, back room staff, sporting director etc have been spot on and has got us two PL titles and a CL trophy, a World Cup and others lesser trophies, all without spending anything near the teams around us. I wasn’t surprised Slot turned out well as I trusted their process, I also trust their process this summer in unearthing future world class players. The one poor buy was Nunez but rumor has it that was a Klopp buy and they wanted Isak, could be the reason of the disagreement between Klopp and those in charge of transfers.

In reality, this season is an example of how the league should have looked like throughout recent years - with mostly us as champions. If we didn't have an abomination like City to rival, who cheated their way into numerous titles, we would have dominated English football for years. I have criticized the owners myself as well, but this goes to show how well this club has been ran without spending billions upon billions.

Slot and the boys did their job this season, now it's Michael Edwards' turn to do his magic in the transfer window.

Great to see this forum is still on the go! I was on here a lot in the early 2000s but not so much since around 2010.

Just popping on to say up the fking reds and what a title win that was! Completely unfancied (including by me) and we’ve gone and done it. Now my young lad who’s now 10 can come with me to experience the title parade and I can’t wait.

Best thing about this is I could see us winning another few titles with the core of this squad. Virgil and Mo have some left in the tank and they can lead what is a really talented squad for a few more years. Forget about rivals strengthening because so will we and we’re one of the cleverest clubs in the market. Good times ahead!
