Burnley V Liverpool - EPL - Saturday 20th August

Mignolet - 6 - not at fault for the goals
Clyne - 5 - not great, but there were worse
Klavan - 5 - welcome to the EPL, you nearly got caught a few times and could have seen red
Lovren - 6 - better than Klavan
Milner - 4 - poor, but not as bad as Moreno
Henderson - 4 - Sh*t
Wijnaldum - 4 - seemed non existant tbh
Coutinho - 6 - huffed and puffed
Firmino - 5 - nothing today
Lallana - 6.5 - looked ok in the first half, looked like he could get the break through a stubborn defence
Sturridge - 4 - ***** poor

subs:
Origi - 6 - not much time really, one nice burst of speed
Moreno - 3 - gave the ball away high up the field and brought on a counter attack, REPLACE HIM
Grujic - 6 - looked decent when he came on, better than Hendo, was unlucky with a nicely struck shot

JK - got it all wrong today, big time, cost us, changes made too late on, doesn't seem to have really learnt from last season

BUY A LEFT BACK AND PROPER DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER

I only listened to yesterdays game on the radio so I can't really give any scores but I will say a big thanks to damjan for reprising his role as newkits official mathematician!

burton v LIVERPOOL

MINGOLET - 6 didn't have much to do but a couple of authoritative punches to clear corners instead of his usual flaps which was good to see
CLYNE - 7 played well, great cross for Firmino's goal
LOVREN - 6 not much to do really but looked solid enough
MATIP - 6 same as Lovren, looked composed on the ball as well which was very encouraging
MILNER - 7 played well, nice assist for Sturridges first
HENDERSON - 6 worked hard but some of his through balls were a bit wayward
CAN - 6 did okay
LALLANA - 6.5 busy performance
FIRMINO - 7 nice goal and some neat link up play
MANE - 8.5 rapidly becoming our most influential player
ORIGI - 7 nice goal

Call a spade a spade....Henderson is still dogshyte. 6 is a tad generous...

fully aware of the lower opposition so tried to bear that in mind when rating

spurs v LIVERPOOL   


MINGOLET - 6 shouldn't really be getting beat at his near post from an acute angle but maybe that's being a bit harsh, apart from the goal he played quite well
CLYNE - 5 playing well generally but one or two costly lapses in concentration have crept into his game
LOVREN - 7 apart from being outmuscled by Kane on one occasion he played really well
MATIP - 7 really impressive on his premier league debut
MILNER - 6.5 steady as usual, took his pen nicely
HENDERSON - 7 not usually his biggest fan but he played really well today, he covered a hell of a lot of ground
WIJNALDUM - 6.5 some nice touches and link up play, especially first half
LALLANA - 6 not his best game but still contributes to our neat attacking play
COUTINHO - 6 missed an absolute sitter and was quiet-ish today but like Lallana even when not at his best he still has the ability to contribute to our flowing counter attacks
FIRMINO - 7 pressed well and linked up play very nicely, should have had at least one assist to his name
MANE - 8 lucky to not get sent off but he must be a nightmare for defenders to mark, Spurs have got a quick back line but they really struggled to cope with him.
